Content Standard
The learner understands the consequences of personal and local action to global and
planetary climate change.
Performance Standard
The learner
1) analyzes how production and consumption habits contribute to the problem of climate
change and explain why.
2) writes a resolution that you can share with your friends about how you can personally
contribute towards solving the problem of climate change.
Learning Competencies:
Discuss personal contributions that can actually solve the problem of climate change
(HUMSS_MCT12-Ih-i-3)
Make a stand on how the consequences of one’s action affect the lives of others and the
environment (HUMSS_MCT12-Ih-i-4)
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. define climate change, global warming, production and consumption
2. identify simple actions that can help fight climate change by showing it through
creative
presentations.

The students will have a group discussion about the topic
B. Analysis
GUIDE QUESTIONS:
1. What is the difference between global warming and climate change
2. What is the difference between production and consumption?
C. Abstraction
The students will do Activity: What I have learned (page 9), and
Activity 2 page (13)
D. Application
GROUP ACTIVITY:
The students will make a creative presentation showing the simple things they
can
do to help fight climate change?
