Accomplishment Report Ict
In this 2018-2019 Accomplishment Report, Tina NHS accounts its accomplishments of the past
two years and shows how information and communication technology (ICT) is helping our
student’s success. The Annual Report outlines school’s efforts to improve connectivity, boost
teachers and students’ capacity, and modernize the structure service of the school.
With the dawn of the new technology, all people in all paces of life especially the young ones are
craving to learn computer-related skills such as electronic mails which is considered as the
fastest way of sending messages here and abroad, excel which facilitates the nippiest way of
finding solutions to mathematical problems, power point presentation which is widely used by
lecturers, spreadsheets, photo editing website designing, and a lot more.
Studying short computer courses in private schools is expensive which we are sure not everyone
can afford due to financial constraints. Luckily, Tina NHS, was one of the recipients with the
DepEd Computerization Program (DCP), which gives ample of help from both teachers and
students. Wherein, teachers rely much in computer and internet browsing in connection with
different information in their teaching skills, topics, documents and a lot more. While students
eagerness in computers were catered which in able for them to become familiar with the basic
parts, functions and uses of it.
Tina NHS ICT doing its best in serving technology and basic computer literacy education is
preparing the students for their future to be self-reliant, independent, and productive citizens in
our country whether or not they can proceed to a higher education. Learning computer skills is of
great help to students to get ready of whatever challenges they may face. If computer skills are
thoroughly learned, students will have a better assurance of jobs in the future since we are now in
a Computer Generation/Era.
The school has a great responsibility of ensuring that all students will be accommodated and can
obtain enough and reasonable computer skills in the duration of the course.
1. Offering of ICT Basic Programs and Functions of Computers in the Grade 9 and Grade 10
level
From the joint initiative of the School Head, the ICT Coordinator, in cooperation of the
TLE Teachers, and other subject teachers, students in the Grade 9 and 10 levels were
accommodated on the basic programs, functions and uses of the computers, for it’s our goal to
equip students with skills that will be utilized in the real world. Our ICT elective include the
mentoring of the following basic computer applications:
A. MS Word – the most basic of all programs that has a real world application. This will
be the learner’s introduction to ICT and serve as the springboard for the next step of
the ladder. It is the most popular word processing program – and justifiably. It is easy
to use and allows you to create all different types of documents.
B. MS Excel – This subject area is the next offering after the class has fully mastered the
first stage. This second stage will open their minds in the opportunities and advantages
brought by computer technology. It is a spreadsheet program used to store and retrieve
numerical data in a grid format of columns and rows. Excel is ideal for
entering, calculating and analyzing company data such as sales figures, sales
taxes or commissions.
C. MS PPT – After acquiring skills in word and excel. The third quarter offers students
the chance to create beautiful and one-of-a-kind presentations using the PowerPoint
program, utilizing the skills learned from previous programs. This next big step will
be an easy transition because of the programs previously taken. It is part of the
Microsoft Office suite and generally uses a graphical approach to presentations
in the form of slide shows that accompany the oral delivery of the topic.
2. Internet Connectivity
Through the efforts of the School Head and the entire faculty members, the school’s e-
classroom was able to acquire an internet connection with OPM OUTDOOR Wireless Data
Network. It was very useful particularly on the programs that were taught during the third and
last quarter. It is also Wi-Fi equipped, therefore learners that bring their own laptops and android
cell phones were also benefitted.
