INTRODUCTION
The mission, vision, and philosophy of the institution serve as a guide for creating objectives and
goals of the organization, thus providing a road-map that is to be followed by everyone.
A mission refers to the reason and focus of an institution's existence. A vision describes the
institution “as it would appear in a future successful state.” Value statements. An institution's basic
philosophy, principles and ideals are expressed in its value statements.
Aims should be realistic and based on reasonable expectations. An aim must be something you can
point to with pride when you accomplish it. You must be able to see it.
Vision is the dream that keeps you going when things are bleak and accomplishing your aim
provides the daily satisfaction.
DEFINITION
MISSION - A mission statement focuses on today and what an organization does to achieve it. Both are vital
in directing goals.
VISSION - A vision statement focuses on tomorrow and what an organization wants to ultimately become.
PHILOSOPHY – The study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, especially when
considered as an academic discipline.
NURSING - Nursing encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families,
groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings. Nursing includes the promotion of health,
prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled and dying people.

INTRODUCTION
Nurse education consists of the theoretical and practical training provided to nurses with the purpose to
prepare them for their duties as nursing care professionals. This education is provided to student nurses by
experienced nurses and other medical professionals who have qualified or experienced for educational tasks,
traditionally in nursing colleges.

Aim is to impart nursing education of high standard so that the students passing out from this institute will be
able to render quality nursing care to all the clients in the hospital, community and the various settings such
as school, industry etc. with compassion and care.
