AIMS, MISSION, VISION AND PHILOSOPHY

INTRODUCTION

 The mission, vision, and philosophy of the institution serve as a guide for creating objectives and
goals of the organization, thus providing a road-map that is to be followed by everyone.
 A mission refers to the reason and focus of an institution's existence. A vision describes the
institution “as it would appear in a future successful state.” Value statements. An institution's basic
philosophy, principles and ideals are expressed in its value statements.
 Aims should be realistic and based on reasonable expectations. An aim must be something you can
point to with pride when you accomplish it. You must be able to see it.
 Vision is the dream that keeps you going when things are bleak and accomplishing your aim
provides the daily satisfaction.
DEFINITION

AIMS - The aim of this project is to help patients to be more independent.

MISSION - A mission statement focuses on today and what an organization does to achieve it. Both are vital
in directing goals.

VISSION - A vision statement focuses on tomorrow and what an organization wants to ultimately become.

PHILOSOPHY – The study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, especially when
considered as an academic discipline.

NURSING - Nursing encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families,
groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings. Nursing includes the promotion of health,
prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled and dying people.

complete health care, both curative and preventive; and whose out-patient services.

INTRODUCTION

Nurse education consists of the theoretical and practical training provided to nurses with the purpose to
prepare them for their duties as nursing care professionals. This education is provided to student nurses by
experienced nurses and other medical professionals who have qualified or experienced for educational tasks,
traditionally in nursing colleges.

AIMS

Aim is to impart nursing education of high standard so that the students passing out from this institute will be
able to render quality nursing care to all the clients in the hospital, community and the various settings such
as school, industry etc. with compassion and care.
To be recognized as a leading model of institution offering excellence in quality of nursing education to
promote research activities and turning out intellectually enlightened, morally upright, emotionally balanced
and socially committed health care professionals.

MISSION

The mission of College of Nursing is to provide Accessible, Affordable High Quality Education to diverse
students for the development of nurse practitioners at all entries of practice. The mission will be accomplished
through:

 To promote high quality education to develop professionalism with a global outlook.

 To promote learning that stimulates learners to reach their full potential throughout their life. 
 To foster innovative research that will benefit the humanity and improve the nursing standards. 
 To create, empowered, committed, compassionate and skillful healthcare providers who make
adifference in building a healthy family, community and nation.
 To enhances the individual student to become a good leader and self-motivator in professional
practice of nursing. 

VISION
To be recognized as a leading model of institution offering excellence in quality of nursing education to
promote research activities and turning out intellectually enlightened, morally upright, emotionally balanced
and socially committed health care professionals.
PHILOSOPHY

The college of nursing believe that,

 The nursing courses (MSc Nursing, PB BSc Nursing & BSc Nursing) should be planned around the
nursing care need of the society as well as the educational needs and personal development of
nursing students.
 The primary focus of the educational program is to prepare the student nurse for professional nursing
practices in all fields. 
 The courses offer an educational base needed for continuing nursing education.
 The faculty of the college accepts the responsibility of helping the students to adjust to new
situations and provides them with the opportunity, which contribute towards development of the
student as a person, responsible citizen and competent practitioner.

 School of Nursing educates and prepares graduates, using innovative teaching strategies and state-of-
the-art technology.
 Graduates provide ethical, safe, and effective patient-centered care and contribute to present and
emerging research and health management practices.
 Graduates demonstrate competence in clinical judgment, collaborate as members and leaders of inter
professional healthcare teams, and utilize scientifically-based interventions.
 As caring professional nurses, graduates manage illness; promote, maintain, and restore health; and
provide end-of-life care for diverse individuals, families, populations, and global communities across
the lifespan.

VISION

 The School of Nursing will provide supportive and creative educational programs, which inspire those
who teach and those who learn, based on mutual respect and a commitment to contribute to the health
of individuals, families, populations, communities and the environment worldwide.
 To prepare nurses who will work in the hospital and community with dedication, devotion, compassion
and kindness.
 To develop a Centre for Excellence in nursing which will provide Quality educational programs which
are evidence based and encourages innovations to improve patient care.
 Every student nurse who passes out from this institute will be an epitome of nursing with adequate
scientific knowledge and will be able to work at primary, secondary and tertiary levels of care within
the country and abroad.
PHILOSOPHY

 Advancing the science and practice of nursing improves the health of individuals, families,
communities, and populations within the commonwealth, the nation, and the world;
 Education is a lifelong process beginning with undergraduate studies, continuing through graduate
studies, and encompassing continuing education for professional development;
 A strong educational foundation enables nurses to conduct evidence-based practice, engage in
scholarly activities, and translate knowledge in health sciences and health care to improve healthcare
delivery to all human beings; and 
 By providing a diverse and global perspective and raising the professional and social conscience of
our students, they will become health care leaders. 

INTRODUCTION

The English word hospital comes from the French word hospital as do the word hostel and hotel. The three

word, i.e. hospital hostel, hotel derived from same sources and used in different sense, but basically the

meaning of the word will be the same.

AIMS

Our aim is to impart optimum health services to all people, irrespective of race, color, caste and creed and
regardless of socioeconomic status. Provide training for professionals, .i.e. doctors, nurse, pharmacist’s
dentist and others technical personals who are involving in health care setting.

MISSION
 To be an institution that offers comprehensive quality healthcare services under one roof through

transparent patient-centric care ensuring patient safety, privacy and dignity. An institution where

PHILOSOPHY

 We believe that the clinical, administrative, professional practice, education and shared governance
components of the department of nursing are of distinct, but equal value and share mutually
complimentary goals.

 We believe physician/nurse collaborative, professional. And collegial relationships are essential to
