Our topic for today is all about Simple Map.


A map is a drawing of a particular area such as a city,
a country, or a content showing its main features,
typically represented on a flat surface.

A Map has a compass rose that gives directions on


where to locate a certain place.
 Now class, do you know what are the four  Yes ma’am.
major directions of the compass rose?  No ma’am.
 What N means?  North

 What W means?  West

 What E means?  East


 South
 What S means?

The four major directions are North, South, East and


West.

Remember:
It is important to know how to read and interpret
maps.
It helps to locate unfamiliar places easily.

Now class, this is a classroom map. Using the


compass rose can you tell me where is the direction
of the teacher’s table?
How about the directions of the board?  West
How about the directions of the cabinet?  North
How about the directions of the chair in the middle?  East
 South
