After you have gathered all the necessary data. Write the learner’s
development profile using the outline below. Type the profile on a separate
sheet and attached it to this learning Episode.

THE LEARNER’S DEVELOPMENT PROFILE (Outline)

The Learners’ Development Profile

Name of the learner Angelo Berdin

School Proper Ned National High School
Date of Home Visit March 25, 2024
Date of Birth: January 29 2008 Age: 16
Grade/Year Level: 9 Gender: Male

Family Profile

Physical Development
The kid grew up healthy with their mom taking care of them all the time. When
the mom was pregnant, everything went smoothly, and the kid didn't get sick
much. He learned to walk and talk at the usual times. He wasn’t picky about
food as a kid. The mom made sure the kid stayed healthy by looking after them
well and feeding them right when they were little.

Social Development
The child was described as friendly and outgoing. During his childhood, he
mostly played with friends from school. He enjoyed swimming and playing at
the river frequently. Overall, it seems like he had a regular social childhood,
forming friendships with classmates, while his parents kept a close eye on his
safety.

Emotional-Moral Development
The parent hopes her child will chase his dreams and find success in his
chosen path. She creates a loving home where her children feel calm and
happy. Even if the child doesn't always share his problems with his mother.
When the child faces challenges, the mother encourages him to learn from
them and stay motivated to improve in the future.

Cognitive Development
When it comes to thinking and learning, the learner likes playing basketball. In
school, he usually gets good grades, but he finds math hard because there's
too much calculating. His mom checks how he's doing by looking at his report
card. Even though they have rules to help him study better, like studying in a
smart way and going to bed at the same time every night, he usually doesn't
follow them. He studies casually and can do what he likes as long as he's

Field Study 1

responsible about it.

Findings
What I've noticed about the learner is that he was brought up in a really good
way, just like every kid should be. He behaves well, which shows how his mom
raised him. And as for his schoolwork, he's doing okay, but there's room for
improvement.

Conclusions
The learner's upbringing reflects an Authoritative parenting style, blending clear
expectations with warmth and support, nurturing both academic and social
competence. Effective communication between home and school enables
academic monitoring and collaborative addressing of behavioral and emotional
needs, fostering a supportive learning environment. Will result to a good
learner.

Recommendations
Teachers can enhance student development by collaborating with community
stakeholders, leveraging resources and seeking advice from professionals to
support diverse student needs effectively

ANALYZE

Your findings and recommendations in the Learner Development

Profile will help you answer the questions here.

1. From your home visit and interview what do you think is the style of
parenting experienced by the learner? Explain your answer.

Based on what I learned during the home visit and interview, I believe the
learner has experienced Authoritative parenting. This means the parents
are both firm and caring, setting clear rules and boundaries.

2. Relating your data with what you learned from child development, what
family factors do you think contribute to the development and over-all
adjustment of the learner in school?

Looking at my findings and what I know about child development, I think

several family factors are important for the learner's success in school.
These include things like the family's money situation, how much the
parents are involved, how stable the family life is, and the parenting style.

3. Does the communication between the home-school have an effect on

the learner? If yes, what are these effects?

Yes, the communication between home and school does affect the
learner. When parents and teachers talk and work together, it helps keep
track of how the learner is doing in school and offers support when
needed.

Learning Episode 4
Field Study 1

4. How can the teacher partner with the community to contribute to the
development and learning of the students? Who are the people or which
institutions can the teacher tap to seek advice regarding the development
and learning of students?

Teachers can work with different groups and people in the

community to help students learn and grow. They can team up with local
organizations, and experts to provide students with hands-on learning
experiences and extra help when needed.

REFLECT

1. Reflect on your own development as a child. What type of parenting did

you experience?
How did it affect you?

When I was a kid, my parents used an Authoritative style of parenting.

They were supportive but also made sure I stayed safe and behaved well.
This really influenced me as I grew up. I became more open with them and
we talked a lot at home. Now, I'm good at getting along with others and I
can control my feelings and actions better.

2. As a future teacher, how would you establish good home-school

collaboration? How can you work well with the parents? How can you help
them? How can they help you?

As a future teacher, I'll start by working closely with parents. I'll tell them
what I expect and listen to what they want for their child. I'll keep talking to
them through letters, emails, and meetings. If a student has problems, I'll
ask parents for ideas and work with them to find solutions.
