Work immersion is a transformative experience designed to bridge the
gap between academic learning and practical application for Grade 12
students. It serves as a crucial stepping stone towards preparing young
minds for the dynamic challenges of the professional world. In this essay,
we will delve into the significance of work immersion, exploring its myriad
benefits and the profound impact it has on the holistic development of
students.
Work immersion offers Grade 12 students the invaluable opportunity
to step out of the traditional classroom setting and into the real-world
environment of their chosen field. By immersing themselves in actual
workplace scenarios, students gain firsthand exposure to the intricacies of
various industries, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical
contexts.
One of the primary benefits of work immersion lies in its ability to foster
skill development. Through hands-on experience, students acquire
essential soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, problem-
solving, and teamwork. These skills are not only instrumental in
professional success but also serve as pillars for personal growth and
development.
In conclusion, work immersion in Grade 12 is more than just a
requirement; it is a transformative journey that empowers students to
become well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills, knowledge, and
confidence needed to succeed in today's competitive world. By bridging the
gap between theory and practice, work immersion lays the groundwork for
future career success while nurturing personal growth and development. It
is an essential component of education that prepares students not only for
the workforce but for life beyond the classroom.
2
OBJECTIVES
Work Immersion will develop the learners life and career skills. It is
one of the requirements of the secondary education. Learners are

CALLED PERFORMING ARTS
STUDIO
Performing arts studios face challenges in today's world.
Rising costs and competition threaten their existence. However,
there's a positive side. Studios are offering more affordable options
and using technology to reach wider audiences. By adapting, they
can ensure these creative spaces remain available. The CALLED
Performing Arts Studio was built to share the knowledge and facility
for dancers, singers, models, instrumentalists and public speakers
through the guidance of Christianity.
The CALLED Performing Arts Studio is a registered school of
talents every Saturday today. The studio develop talents through
different classes for the students to choose. The studio endeavors
to promote the public good through experiential and collaborative
opportunities in educational, creative and research activities.

INSTITUTION’S HISTORY
2019
The studio was first established in the Christian Academy of Lion Lamb
(CALL) as its performing arts studio named “CALLed Dance Studio”. Dance
class students were called “Lion Lamb Elite Dancers”. Eventually, they started
teaching voice and modeling classes.
2021
To better reflect the variety of classes offered, the studio's name
was changed in April 2021 to CALLed Performing Arts and Music Studio.
This new name acknowledges both the music and performing arts
programs available.
2023
CALLED Performing Arts Studio underwent a major transformation in
April 2021. They not only rebranded with a new name, but also moved to a new
location at the CN Building on the corner of Quirino Street in Barangay New
Visayas. This move allowed them to build their own dedicated studio space.
2024
In February 2024, the studio invited its first apprentices under work
immersion, serving the studio for ten Saturdays.

STUDIO’S VISION AND MISSION

The previous studio logo may be found in the pocket's upper right corner.
A crowned letter C represents the name of the studio and the Christian faith of
the coaches and students. Crowned C means crowed King (Christ) and
CALLED. The year the studio was created is displayed beneath the logo, which
is 2019. The upper-left corner represents the dance class. A ballerina can be
seen embodying respect for the mother of all dances, ballet. Underneath, you
can find music-related symbols like a microphone that focuses voice and a
piano that emphasizes instruments.
Above, in the center, three stars depicts the Philippine islands. As the
studio was already becoming an official performing arts school, the cross that
divided each sign represented Jesus' cross. The studio is run by religious
Christians who shares God's word as a way to express thankfulness. The
coaches believes that everything happens for a purpose, and that the gifts and
blessings they have received began when they heeded to God's calling, hence
the name CALLED. The Bible verse that started it all appears beneath the
name CALLED at the top.

My work immersion at CALLED Performing Studio has been an
unforgettable journey that has broadened my horizons and deepened my
passion for the performing arts. As a grade 12 student, I embarked on this
experience with a mix of excitement and curiosity, eager to explore the inner
workings of a professional performing arts environment.
Witnessing firsthand the dedication and passion that goes into every
production fueled my own aspirations in the performing arts. Whether it was
learning a new dance routine or perfecting a scene, each experience left an
indelible mark on my journey.

DAY 1: DEPLOYMENT TO CALLED PERFORMING ARTS STUDIO

31
DAY 3
DAY 4
Arriving at the studio bright and early, I followed the daily routine -
logging in and getting the space prepped. Today, we worked on a fun ballet
routine with a group of adorable baby ballerinas, all under 8 years old! The
theme? The Greatest Showman Musical! We're helping them polish up their
moves for their upcoming recital in July 2024. Ballet class ran from 8 am to
10:20 am, followed by Contemporary and Modern from 10:30 am to 12 pm.
After a full 8-hour shift, we wrapped things up with interviews and a chance to
refuel with snacks alongside the coaches and their students.
32
DAY 5
After my absence, I hit the studio early for my fourth immersion day,
determined to catch up. We started with the usual routine, but things were a
little different today. The schedule shifted: Ballet class stretched from 8 am to
noon, followed by Modern Dance from 1-4 pm, as they finalized setting up a
new room for Voice Class. Discussions swirled about costumes and the
upcoming recital. Sir Jeffrey sometimes had us make groups and perform in
front of the class. Thankfully, I got to participate in something I love - a Jazz
choreography session! It was a real highlight for me.
33
DAY 6
I arrived at the studio late around 7:30 am. I managed to cope up with
the class and confused with the new changes in choreography sometimes. Kids
are being separated from the adults. We wrapped up two dance routines and
set our sights on tackling the rest of the musical's soundtrack. Lunch and recess
were a great chance to connect with the coaches and some of the students,
building a rapport while still maintaining a professional demeanor.
Day 7
I disclosed that I would not be able to attend their September recital.
Things became uncomfortable for me, and I hope that Sir Jeff and Ma'am Sylvia
are aware of the predicament I'm in right now. I continue to assist my
classmates in keeping the studio tidy and in helping the children. After all the
memories I shared with them, I was saddened, for once, to know that I couldn't
join them. I still think it's worth the time and effort to have them as a fun
remembrance. I came to know a few of the long-term pupils while new ones
continued to enroll.
34
Day 8
I continued with my usual tasks and assisted them with cleaning the
restroom and mopping the floors. Even though we only go every Saturday for
four months, there are just two days remaining, and we still find it hard to
comprehend how quickly the days have gone by. Sir Jeff re-interviewed us and
signed our paperwork. They imparted valuable knowledge to us, emphasizing
the significance of first developing oneself, particularly one's mindset. The
growth of our skills will come after we've worked out how and after we've
created our personalities and habits.
Day 9
We have one more day until we depart. Once more, I would want to
assist with cleaning and mop the floors. I enjoy watching them rehearse their
dances and songs because it gives me a little idea of what to expect from the
performance.
I feel like I've grown as a person and have learned so much here. We
have one more day left in the studio tomorrow, and I know I'm going to miss
them.
35
Day 10
It's our last day today. We had the opportunity to express our
appreciation to them for the invitation and for providing me with this opportunity.
Back then, I had always wanted to be a part of anything similar. This trip held
great significance for me, particularly after learning that my seniors had also
visited this studio. I'm overjoyed to have had the little opportunity to work in the
studio.
Short and sweet: I'm thankful for my time at the studio, even if it was
brief. It was a valuable experience that I'll always cherish. The Bible verse in
their logo says, “For many are called but few are chosen.” - Matthew 22:14.
