There are many differences between studying at high school and university. To discuss the
topic, let's review the education program in high school and university of Vietnam. To begin
with, in high school you will have a very tight schedule and probably 90% of high school
students must go to school at least 6 days per week and usually come home late because of
additional classes at night. Test results decide when you will study in the future and how to
make the parents proud of them. So, they must study a lot and things are totally different in
university! You don't have to study that much, and the schedule is easier, so that your can-do
part-time jobs, look for social activities or do whatever you want. In addition, what you learn
in high school is not the same as in university. In high school, students learn the basic
knowledge of every subject and that will be the ladder for the students to obtain deeper and
larger knowledge later. In university, there aren't many subjects, but you need to put more
effort, practice and creativity into what you have learnt, and make them valuable. Lastly, in
high school you may have many friends and get to know each other’s quickly, teachers are
strict and always talk a lot. Otherwise in university, teachers are easier, but it is harder to make
friends to anyone, not like in high schools. The only real teachers are books, and the closest
friend is yourself. Thanks for listening, wish you enjoyed the topic
