 Phrases that outweigh all Dhikr

‫ُس ْب حـاَن ِهللا َو ِبَحْم ـِدِه َع َدَد َخْل ـِق ه‬

1 ، ‫ َو ِز َنـَة َع ـْر ِش ـه‬، ‫ َو ِر ضـا َنْف ِس ـه‬،
‫َو ِم ـداَد َكِلمـاِتـه‬
Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi: ‘Adada khalqihi
wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi wa
midaada kalimaatihi
“Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him, by the
multitude of his creation, by His Pleasure, by
the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of
His Words”

Express your dire need for good

(Prophet Musa AS Dua)

‫َخ‬ ‫ْن‬ ‫ِم‬ ‫َل‬ ‫َت‬ ‫ْل‬ ‫َز‬ ‫ْن‬‫ِّني ِلَم ا َأ‬
‫ٍر‬ ‫ْي‬ ‫ِإ َّي‬ ‫َر ِّب ِإ‬
‫َف ِق يٌر‬

Rabbi inni lima anzalta illayya min khayrin
faqir

"My Lord, indeed I am, for

whatever good You would send
down to me, in need"
 When in Difficulty

‫الّلُه ـَّم ال َس ـْه َل ِإّال ما َجَع لـَت ُه‬

3 ‫ َو َأْنَت َتْج ـَع ُل اْلَحـَز َن‬، ‫َس هـًال‬
‫ِإذا ِش ـْئ َت َس هْـًال‬
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja’altahu sahla, wa
‘anta taj-alul hazna idha shi’ta sahla.

“O Allah! There is nothing easy except

what You make easy, and You make the
difficult easy if it be Your Will”

Protection from poverty,

humiliation, and oppression.

،‫ والِّذَّلة‬،‫ والِق َّلة‬،‫اللهَّم إني أعوُذ بَك ِم ن الَف قِر‬

‫وأعوُذ بَك ِم ن أن َأْظ ِلَم أو ُأظَلَم‬

Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal faqri wal
qillati wadh dhillati wa a’udhu bika min an
azlima aw uzlama

“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from poverty,

insufficiency, humiliation and I seek refuge in You
from oppressing anyone or being oppressed”
 Increase good knowledge

‫الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني َأْس َأُلَك ِع ْل ًم ا َناِف ًع ا‬

5 ‫َو ِر ْز ًق ا َط ِّيًب ا َو َع َم ًال ُم َت َق َّب ًال‬

Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman naafi’a, wa
rizqan tayyiba, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbala

“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial

knowledge, goodly provision, and
acceptable deeds”

Asking Allah (SWT) for a good end

‫اللهم ِإِّنْي َأْس َأُلَك ُحْس َن اْلَخاِتَم ِة‬

Allahumma inni as'aluka husnal khatimah

“O Allah, I ask You for a good end to my life” 6

 Asking Allah (SWT) for sincere
repentance

7 ‫الَّلُه َّم اْر ُز ْق ِن ْي َتْو َبًت ا َنُص ْو َحا َق ْب َل‬

‫اْلَم ْو ت‬
Allahummar zuqni taubatan nasuha qablal
maut

"O Allah, grant me sincere repentance

before death"

For a pious spouse and children

‫َر َّبَن ا َه ْب َلَن ا ِم ْن َأْز َو ا َن ا َو ُذ ِّر َّياِتَن ا ُق َّر َة‬

‫ِج‬

‫َأْع ُي ٍن َو اْج َع ْل َن ا ِلْل ُم َّت ِق يَن ِإَم اًم ا‬

Rabbana hablana min azwaajina wa
dhuriyyatina qurrata A’yunin waj’alna lil-
muttaqina imama

“Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who

will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the
grace) to lead the righteous”
 Dua when afflicted with
sickness, distress and adveristy
(Prophet Ayub AS dua)

‫َأِّني َم َّس ِن َي الُّض ُّر َو َأنَت َأْر َحُم‬

9 ‫الَّر اِح ِم يَن‬
Anni massani-yadh-dhurru wa ‘anta
arhamur-Raahimeen

“Indeed, distress has touched me, and

You are the most Merciful of the merciful
ones”

Protection from Anxiety, Grief,

Debt

، ‫الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني َأُع وُذ ِبَك ِم َن اْلَه ِّم َو اْلَحَز ِن‬

، ‫ َو اْلُبْخ ِل َو اْلُجْب ِن‬، ‫َو اْلَع ْج ِز َو اْلَكَس ِل‬

‫َغ َل‬ ‫َل‬

‫ َو َب ِة الِّر َجاِل‬، ‫َو َض ِع الَّد ْي ِن‬

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika minal-hammi
walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa
dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and sadness,

from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness
and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt
and overpowered by men (i.e. others)”
 Seeking Refuge in Allah (SWT)
from Evils

‫َأ‬
‫ َو ِم ْن َش ِّر‬،‫الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني ُع وُذ ِبَك ِم ْن َش ِّر َس ْم ِع ي‬

11 ‫ َو ِم ْن‬،‫ َو ِم ْن َش ِّر َق ْل ِب ي‬،‫ َو ِم ْن َش ِّر ِلَس اِني‬،‫َبَص ِري‬

‫َش ِّر َم ِن ِّي ي‬

Allaahumma innee a’oothu bika min sharri sam’ee, wa min
sharri basaree, wa min sharri lisaanee, wa min sharri qalbee,
wa min sharri maniyyee

“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evils of my

hearing, the evils of my seeing, the evils of my
tongue; the evils of my heart and the evils of
passions”

The Highest Companionship in

the Highest Garden

, ‫الَّلُه َّم ِإِّنْي َأْس َأُلَك ِإْي َم اًنا ال َيْر َتُّد‬

‫ َو ُم َر اَف َق َة َنِب ِّي َك ُم َحَّم ٍد‬، ‫َو ِنِع ْي ًم ا ال َيْن َف ُد‬

‫َجَّن ِة الُخْل ِد‬ ‫ُهللا َع َلْي ِه َوَس َّلَم ِفي َأْع ىَل‬ ‫َص ىَّل‬

Allahumma inni as-aluka Imanan la yartad wa na’iman la
yanfad wa murafaqata Muhammadin sallallahu ‘alayhi wa
sallam fi a’ala Jannatil khuld

“O Allah! I ask you for Iman that does not retrogress,

bounties that do not deplete and the companionship of
Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in the
highest levels of the eternal Jannah”
 For the good of both worlds

13 ‫َر َّبَن ا آِتَن ا ِف ْى الُّد ْنَي ا َحَس َن ًة َو ِف ْى اآلِخ َر ِة‬

‫ًة‬
‫َحَس َن َّو ِق َن ا َع َذ اَب الَّن اِر‬
Rabbana atina fid dunya hasanatan wa fil Aakhirati
hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar

“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good

and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and
protect us from the punishment of the Fire”

Acceptance of good deeds

(Prophet Ibrahim AS and Ismail As Dua)

‫َر َّبَن ا َتَق َّب ْل ِم َّن ا ِإَّنَك َأنَت الَّس ِم يُع اْلَع ِليُم‬

Rabbana taqabbal Minna, Innaka antas Sami ul Aleem

“Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the
All-Hearing, the All-Knowing” 14
 Dua for forgiveness after sinning
(Adam AS Dua)

15 ‫َر َّبَن ا َظ َلْم َن ا َأنُف َس َن ا َو ِإن َّلْم َتْغ ِف ْر َلَن ا‬

‫َو َتْر َحْم َن ا َلَن ُكوَنَّن ِم َن اْلَخاِس ِريَن‬
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana
watarhamna lanakoonanna min alkhasireen

“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You

do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will
surely be among the losers”

For Mercy and Forgiveness

(Prophet Yunus AS Dua)

‫َّال ِإَلـَه ِإَّال َأنَت ُس ْب ـَحاَنَك ِإِّنى ُكنُت ِم َن‬

‫الّظ اِلِم ْي َن‬
La ilaha illa Anta Subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin

"There is no deity except You; exalted are

You. Indeed, I have been of the

wrongdoers"
 Dua for Noor

، ‫ َو ِفي ِلَس اِني ُنوًر ا‬، ‫الَّلُه َّم اْجَع ْل ِفي َق ْل ِب ي ُنوًر ا‬

‫ َو اْجَع ْل ِفي َبَص ِري ُنوًر ا‬، ‫َو اْجَع ْل ِفي َس ْم ِع ي ُنوًر ا‬

، ‫ َو ِم ْن َأَم اِم ي ُنوًر ا‬، ‫ َو اْجَع ْل ِم ْن َخْل ِف ي ُنوًر ا‬،

‫ الَّلُه َّم‬، ‫ َو ِم ْن َتْحِتي ُنوًر ا‬، ‫َو اْجَع ْل ِم ْن َف ْو ِقي ُنوًر ا‬

‫َأ‬
‫ْع ِط ِني ُنوًر‬
Allaahumma-j‛al fee qalbee noor-an, wa fee lisaanee noor-an, waj‛al fee sam‛ee noor-an, waj‛al
fee baṣaree noor-an , waj‛al min khalfee noor-an, wamin amaamee noor-an, waj‛al min fawqee
noor-an, wa min taḥtee noor-an, allahumma a‛ṭinee noor-an

“O Allah, place within my heart light, and upon my tongue light, and
within my ears light, and within my eyes light, and place behind me
light, and in front of me light, and above me light, and beneath me
light. O Allah, bestow upon me light”

For pateince during tough times

‫َر َّبَن ا َأْف ِرْغ َع َلْي َن ا َص ْب ًر ا َو َتَو َّف َن ا ُم ْس ِلِم يَن‬

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran watawaffana muslimeen

“Our Lord! pour out on us patience and

constancy, and take our souls to You as
Muslims”

Shaytan
‫َّش‬ ‫َأ ُذ‬
‫َر ِّب ُع و ِبَك ِم ْن َه َم َز اِت ال َي اِط يِن‬

19 ‫َأ‬ ‫َأ ُذ‬

‫َو ُع و ِبَك َر ِّب ْن َيْح ُض ُر وِن‬

Rabbi a’oozu bika min hamazaatish Shayaateen Wa

a’oozu bika Rabbi ai-yahduroon

“My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the

incitements of the devils, And I seek refuge
in You, my Lord, lest they be present with
me”

Dua for good health

‫ الَّلُه َّم َع اِفِني‬،‫الَّلُه َّم َع اِفِني ِفي َبَد ِني‬

،‫ الَّلُه َّم َع اِفِني ِفي َبَص ِري‬،‫ِفي َس ْم ِع ي‬

‫اَل ِإَلَه ِإاَّل َأْنَت‬

Allahumma ‘afini fi badani, Allahumma ‘afini fi sam’i,
Allahumma ‘afini fi basari La ilaha illa anta

“Oh Allah! Grant wellbeing to my body, Oh

Allah! Grant wellbeing to my hearing, Oh
Allah! Grant wellbeing to my sight. There is
no true deity, except You”
 Protection from the Anger and
Removal of Blessings By Allah
(SWT)

‫الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني َأُع وُذ ِبَك ِم ْن َز َو اِل ِنْع َم ِت َك‬

21 ‫َو َتَحُّو ِل َع اِف َي ِت َك َو ُف َجاَء ِة ِنْق َم ِت َك‬

‫َو َجِم ي َس َخِط َك‬

‫ِع‬
Allahumma Inni A’uzu Bika Min Zawali Nimatika, wa Tahawuli
Afiyatika, wa Fujaati Niqmatika, wa Jami Sakhatika

“O Allah! I seek refuge in You against the

disappearance of Your blessing, and from the loss
of good health, the suddenness of Your punishment,
and all that which displeases You“

Allah (SWT) will suffice you in

Everything

‫َحْس ِبَي ُهَّللا َال ِإَلَه ِإَّال ُه َو َع َلْي ِه َتَو َّكْل ُت َو ُه َو‬
‫َر ُّب اْلَع ْر ِش اْلَع ِظ يِم‬
HasbiAllahu laa ilaaha illa huwa alayhi tawakkaltu wa
huwa Rabbul arshil adheem

“Allah is sufficient for me. There is none

worthy of worship but Him. I have placed
my trust in Him. He is the Lord of the

Majestic throne”
 Place your complete trust in Allah
(SWT) with all your affairs

‫َحْس ُبَن ا ُهَّللا َو ِنْع َم اْلَو ِكيُل ِنْع َم‬

23 ‫اْلَم ْو ىَل َو ِنْع َم الَّن ِص يُر‬
Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel ni'mal maula wa
ni'man naseer

"Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the Best

Disposer of affairs; what an excellent
Protector and what an excellent Helper"

Stay firm on your Deen

‫ِد يِن َك‬ ‫َيا ُم َق ِّلَب اْلُقُلو َثِّب ْت َق ْل ى َع ىَل‬

‫ِب‬ ‫ِب‬

Ya Muqallibal qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik

“O Controller of hearts, make my

heart firm in Your religion”

 For the love of Allah SWT
(Dawud AS Dua)

‫الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني َأْس َأُلَك ُحَّب َك َو ُحَّب َم ْن ُيِح ُّب َك َو اْلَع َم َل‬

25 ‫َأ‬ ‫َّل‬ ‫َّل‬

‫ا ِذي ُيَب ِّلُغ ِني ُحَّب َك ال ُه َّم اْج َع ْل ُحَّب َك َحَّب ِإَّىَل‬

‫ِم ْن َنْف ِس ي َو َأْه ِلي َو ِم َن اْلَم اِء اْلَب اِر ِد‬

Allahumma inni As’aluka Hubbaka Wa Hubba Man Yuhibbuka Wal Amal al-
lazi Yuballighuni Hubbak. Allahummaj`Al Hubbaka Ahabba ilaiyya Min Nafsi,
Wa Ahli Wa Min al-Ma’il-Barid

“O Allah! I ask You for Your Love, the love of those who love
You, and deeds which will cause me to attain Your Love. O
Allah! Make Your Love dearer to me than myself, my family
and the cold water”

Asking Allah (SWT) for his help to

carry out his Remembrance

Allahumma a’inni Ala Zikrika Wa Shukrika Wa

Husni Ibadatika

“O Allah, help me remember You, to

be grateful to You, and to worship
You in an excellent manner”

(Prophet Nuh AS) for forgiveness

‫اَّر ِّب اْغ ِف ْر ِلي َو ِلَو اِلَد َّي َو ِلَم ن َد َخَل َبْي ِت َي ُم ْؤ ِم ًن ا‬

27 ‫َو ِلْل ُم ْؤ ِم ِنيَن َو اْلُم ْؤ ِم َن اِت َو اَل َتِزِد الَّظ اِلِم يَن ِإاَّل َتَب اًر ا‬

Rabbi ighfir lee waliwalidayya waliman dakhala baytiya

mu'minan walilmu'mineena walmu'minati wala tazidi
aththalimeena illa tabaran

“My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever

enters my house a believer and the believing men and
believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers
except in destruction“

For the Mercy and Forgiveness of

Allah (SWT)

‫َّر ِّب اْغ ِف ْر َو اْر َحْم َو َاْنَت َخْي ُر الّٰر ِح ِم ْي َن‬

Rabbigh fir warham wa Anta khairur raahimeen

“My Lord, forgive and have mercy,

and You are the best of the merciful”

 Dua for parents

29 ‫َّر ِّب اْر َحْم ُه َم ا َكَم ا َر َّبَي اِني َص ِغ يًر ا‬

Rabbir hamhuma kama Rabbayani Sagheera

"My Lord, have mercy upon them as

they brought me up [when I was] small"

Sayyidul Istighfar

‫َع ْه ِد َك‬ ‫ َو َأَنا َع ىَل‬، ‫ َخَلْق َت ِني َو َأَنا َع ْب ُد َك‬، ‫ َال َلَه َّال َأْنَت‬،‫الَّلُه َّم َأْنَت َر ِّبي‬
‫ِإ ِإ‬

‫ َأُبوُء َلَك ِبِنْع َم ِت َك‬، ‫ َأُعوُذ ِبَك ِم ْن َش ِّر َم ا َص َن ْع ُت‬، ‫َوَو ْع ِد َك َم ا اْس َت َط ْع ُت‬

‫ َف ِإ َّنُه َال َيْغ ِف ُر الُّذُنوَب ِإَّال َأْنَت‬،‫ َف اْغ ِف ْر ِلي‬،‫َع َّىَل َو َأُبوُء َلَك ِبَذْنِب ي‬

Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana Abduka, wa

anaala ahdika wa wa dika mastatatu, Audhu bika min Sharri ma sanatu,
abu’u Laka binimatika `alaiya, wa abu’u laka bidhanbi faghfir lee fa innahu la
yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta

“O Allah, you are my Lord. There is no god besides You. You created me
and I am Your slave, following Your covenant and Your promise as much
as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge
before You Your blessings bestowed on me and I confess to You my sins.
So forgive me, for surely, no one can forgive sins except You”
 Dua for Goodness and
Protection from Evil
‫الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني َأْس َأُلَك ِم َن اْلَخْي ِر ُكِّلِه َع اِج ِلِه َو آِج ِلِه َم ا َع ِلْم ُت ِم ْنُه َوَم ا‬

‫َلْم َأْع َلْم َو َأُعوُذ ِبَك ِم َن الَّش ِّر ُكِّلِه َع اِج ِلِه َو آِج ِلِه َم ا َع ِلْم ُت ِم ْنُه َوَم ا‬

‫َلْم َأْع َلْم الَّلُه َّم ِّني َأْس َأُلَك ِم ْن َخْي ِر َم ا َس َأَلَك َع ْب ُد َك َو َن ُّي َك َو َأُعوُذ‬
‫ِب‬ ‫ِإ‬

‫ِبَك ِم ْن َش ِّر َم ا َع اَذ ِبِه َع ْب ُد َك َو َنِب ُّي َك الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني َأْس َأُلَك اْلَجَّن َة َوَم ا‬

‫َق َّر َب ِإَلْي َه ا ِم ْن َق ْو ٍل َأْو َع َم ٍل َو َأُعوُذ ِبَك ِم َن الَّن اِر َوَم ا َق َّر َب ِإَلْي َه ا‬

‫ِم ْن َق ْو ٍل َأْو َع َم ٍل َو َأْس َأُلَك َأْن َتْجَع َل ُكَّل َق َض اٍء َق َض ْي َتُه ِلي َخْي ًر ا‬

Allahumma inni as’aluka min al-khayri kullihi ‘aajilihi wa aajilihi, ma ‘alimtu minhu wa ma lam

a‘lam, wa a‘oodhu bika min ash-sharri kullihi ‘aajilihi wa aajilihi, ma ‘alimtu minhu wa ma lam
a‘lam. Allahumma inni as’aluka min khayri ma sa’alaka ‘abduka wa nabiyyuka, wa a‘oodhu
bika min sharri ma ‘aadha minhu ‘abduka wa nabiyyuka. Allahumma inni as’aluka al-jannata
wa ma qarraba ilayha min qawlin aw ‘amal, wa a‘oodhu bika min an-naari wa ma qarraba
ilayha min qawlin aw ‘amal, wa as’aluka an taj‘ala kulla qada’in qadaytahu li khayran

“O Allah, verily I ask you for all that is good in this world and the hereafter, what I know of it
and what I do not know, and I seek refuge with You from all that is evil in this world and the
hereafter, what I know of it and what I do not know. O Allah, verily I ask You for the good of
that which Your slave and Prophet asked of You, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of
that from which Your slave and Prophet sought refuge with You. O Allah, verily I ask you for
Paradise and that which will bring me nearer to it of words and deeds, and I seek refuge with
You from Hell and that which would bring me nearer to it of words and deeds. I ask You to
make everything You decree for me good”
Calling upon Allah is one of the greatest ways that
you can strengthen your bond with Him. Always
know that when you ask Allah for anything, He is
Near. “If My slaves ask you about Me, I am Near. I
answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me.” I
hope each one of you can benefit from this in some
