Course Module In Detail Online Live Classes

Session 01 – Nice to Meet you


This is a short warmer lesson, suitable for the beginning of the first lesson of General
English Level 1. You will learn and practise some basic expressions for meeting and
greeting each other. You would not have any grammar at this stage. You will only
learn the meaning of the questions and greetings.
Session 02 – Countries & Nationalities ( Verb 'be')
In this lesson, you will learn and put into practice the names of important countries,
nations and nationalities. The lesson teaches you the basic knowledge of the verb ‘be’.

Session 03 – Possessive Adjectives


In this lesson, you will learn the possessive adjectives my, your, his, her, its, our,
your, and their. There is a role play activity in which you will put the target language
into practice.

Session 04 – Describing People


In this lesson, you will learn basic adjectives and structures for describing people’s
appearance and personality. At the end of the lesson, you will learn to describe
your friends & learn putting the language from the lesson into practice.

Session 05 – Telling Time


In this lesson, you will learn how to tell the time and practise basic numbers.
You will learn about different time formats and learn how asking questions
about time, learn time structures and prepositions in, on, at with time expressions.

Session 06 – Talking about Jobs & Routines ( Simple Tense)


In this lesson, the names of various jobs are introduced, and you will learn how
to speak about their daily routines using the present simple. The present simple
affirmative and question forms are presented.

Session 07– Talking about Family


In this lesson, you will learn how to talk about your family using vocabulary for
family members and possessives. Basic questions for requesting information
about people are also reviewed in the lesson plan.

Session 08 – What do you do in your free time?


In this lesson, learn vocabulary for typical leisure time activities. The lesson also
presents adverbs of frequency (never, rarely, sometimes, often, etc.) as well as
once/twice/three times a week/month/year. There are lots of How often ...?
questions and opportunities for students to communicate with each other using
the target language.
Session 09 – What’s the weather like?
This lesson presents basic vocabulary for describing the weather.
You will learn to talk about the weather in your country using adverbs of
frequency.

Session 10 – Talking about likes and dislikes


In this lesson learn the structure like, don't like, hate, love + -ing.
You will listen to a short conversation about likes and dislikes. There is also an
online video-aided exercise in which you watch a series of video clips and make
sentences using the target language.

Session 11 – Review of lessons ( 1-10)


In this lesson review the vocabulary and grammar from Lesson plans 1-10
of the General English course plan Level 1, including the verb 'be', countries
and nationalities, possessive adjectives, adjectives for describing people, telling
the time, present simple, family vocabulary, adverbs of frequency, describing
the weather and like + -ing.

Session 12 – I can drive ( Modal Verbs)


In this lesson, you will learn how to talk about ability using the
modal verb can/can’t.

Session 13 – Social Expressions


In this 60-minute lesson filler, you will learn and practise some basic social
expressions used in everyday life.

Session 14– Who was he?


In this lesson learn and practise the past forms of the verb "be". The second part
of the lesson provides plenty of speaking practice as well as opportunities to
revise some vocabulary from other lessons e.g. Family, What’s the weather like?
and Countries and nationalities.

Session 15 – At the coffee shop.


In this lesson, you will learn how to order coffee and snacks in a coffee shop.
For the listening activity, teachers would play a dialogue at coffee shop scene.
There is a role play activity at the end of the lesson.

Session 16 – In the home.


In this lesson learn how to describe different types of homes, typical features
of homes as well as expressions for describing household chores. The lesson
assumes prior of knowledge of the present simple and expressions of frequency.

Session 17 – Talking about Celebrities.


This lesson introduces you to the past simple forms of regular verbs.
The lesson is based on a text about Michael Jackson and includes a gap-fill
exercise and speaking activity on the topic of celebrities before they were
famous.
Session 18 – At the weekends.
In this lesson, you will learn the past simple forms of common irregular verbs
and talk about what they did at the weekend.

Session 19 – Crazy Hotels


In this lesson learn how to create sentences with there is and there are.
The lesson is based on a text and dialogue about four unusual hotels. There is a
vocabulary exercise and a speaking activity to practise the target language.
The lesson develops reading, listening and speaking skills.

Session 20 – Making Appointments


In this lesson, you will learn how to book a hotel room and check in at a hotel.
There is a role play activity at the end of the lesson.

Session 21 – Review of lessons ( 11-20)


In this lesson review the vocabulary and grammar from Lesson plans 11-20 of
your General English course plan Level 1 including can/can't + infinitive, social
expressions, home vocabulary, coffee shop expressions and the past simple.
