The present circular letter has the object to call your attention to the cares to be observed for carpet removal/in-
stallation in the above mentioned vehicles.
The incorrect installation of the same, mainly the carpet covering the engine internal hood, may result in posteri-
or claims regarding the passage of heat to the cabin interior.

When installing the carpet (a) covering the engine inter-
nal hood:

• If the cleats (b) are opened, fit the carpet (a) in the
same. Close the cleats (b) to fasten the engine a
hood/carpet. e 1

Obs.: proceed with care not to damage the carpet
(at the region of cleats) and the air duct (c), of 2 2
the evaporation/ventilation box.
• After fastening the carpet (a), introduce its sides un-
der the other carpets, that is, under the central car-
pet (d) and under the two lateral carpets (e) - see
arrows 1. d
• For a perfect seating of the carpets, observe also
that the lateral sides of the central carpet (d) be fit-
ted under the lateral carpets (e) - see arrows 2.
In short, the correct installation of the carpets should correspond to that obtained by installing the carpets in the
following sequence:
1st - carpet (a) covering the engine hood;
2nd - Central carpet (d);
3rd - Lateral carpets (e).
The same procedures are valid for these vehicles, except for the position of carpet (a) side, covering the engine
hood, in its central region, that should be placed on the central carpet (d).
The carpet (a) and central carpet (d) lateral sides must continue being placed under the lateral carpets (e).
