IV. RESULTS AND ANALYSIS

The evaluation of compressive strength in concrete samples adhered

to the guidelines set forth in ASTM C39-19. These specimens were subjected
to assessments at different curing intervals (7 days, 14 days, and 28 days) to
track the progression of strength over time. However, due to time constraints,
only one sample was tested, and this occurred on the 14th day. The average
compressive strength achieved after 14 days of curing for a sample to meet
the pass criteria is 152.5 kN or 1250 psi. Our sample reached a maximum
compressive strength of 257.6 kN, surpassing the average compressive
strength threshold. Despite having only one sample tested, the result clearly
indicates a consistent increase in compressive strengthen with prolonged
curing periods. This aligns with the typical behavior of concrete, which gains
strength progressively as the hydration process advances.

V. CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the assessment of the compressive strength of concrete

is a fundamental and critical aspect of evaluating the structural integrity and
quality of concrete in construction projects. Compressive strength tests
provide essential information about the concrete's ability to withstand axial
loads, making it a crucial parameter for determining its suitability for various
applications.
The results of compressive strength tests offer valuable insights into
the concrete's load-bearing capacity, durability, and overall performance.
These results are typically reported in terms of pounds per square inch (psi)

or mega-pascals (MPa) and serve as a key determinant in the design,
construction, and quality control of concrete structures.
Understanding the compressive strength of concrete ensures that it
meets the required standards and specifications for a given project,
guaranteeing the safety and longevity of structures. Engineers, architects, and
construction professionals rely on these tests to make informed decisions
regarding concrete mix design, curing methods, and construction techniques.
In essence, the compressive strength of concrete is a cornerstone of
construction quality and safety, enabling the successful execution of a wide
range of infrastructure and building projects while ensuring that they meet the
necessary structural requirements and performance standards.
