BACKGROUND

I am April Joy Natividad Galvero. Everyone calls me April, but my closest friends

simply call me "Ep." I have been single for almost 19 years and am not yet ready to
commit to a relationship. I'm from the beautiful town of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. I just
graduated from high school in 2021 at Solano Integrated High School. I am currently

taking up BS Civil Engineering major in Construction Engineering and Management. I
am a person who is eager to pursue a goal, and one of these is to finish my education
with a degree. I sometimes love cooking, watching incredible movies and also kdramas.
I love the color yellow, as it depicts sunshine and freshness. I love staying inside more
than going out. I love spending time with my family more than anyone. My favorite food
is any kind of sinigang. Also, I love listening to pianos even though I don't know how to
play them. But most importantly, I am a happy person with a great personality that
everyone can easily bond with and a person who has a strong faith in God.

I would like to know how you  understand the reading material….

II. Using Tagalog/Filipino. Discuss the reading based on your understanding. What have you
learned? Give three specific questions that you want to ask from

1. What is the difference of anti-glibalization and pro-globalization?
2. What is the significance of globalization amidst the COVID-19 pandemic?
3. What is the most important aspect of globalization?

Globalization and I

III. In the latter part, make a brief narrative on your relation with the Contemporary World.
Take a picture and paste  something that YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED OR POSESS
which has something to do with globalization. Explain.

As a student and a young person, I can confidently assert that I have a connection to the
modern world in which I live. My relationship with the modern world is that I am currently living in
an era where everything is new, where technologies exist, and where everything is connected to
globalization. In addition, my relationship requires me to be aware of current challenges in the
world in which I now live. The contemporary world encourages us to participate in social
discussion and provides us with the chance to acquire positions on global concerns while
respecting the views of others. My experience as a young person in today's society has a
significant impact on how we relate to globalization.

The things that I have already experienced that has something to do with globalization is
purchasing and utilizing a Realme smartphone that was brought here in the Philippines but
manufactured in China. Another thing that I experience that connects to globalization is online
shopping. I can buy the things I want or need without going out or going to different countries
just to buy them. Due to the essence of globalization, I can buy anything that comes from
different countries, like clothes, gadgets, school supplies, and appliances. This embodied the
core of globalization, as utilizing or purchasing something from another country is an aspect of
globalization. And also, for me, it is a means of interacting with people in other countries. I also
possess the essence of globalization in eating foods that come from other countries, like eating
ramen, samgyupsal and corn dogs which is a foods from Korea. Apart from purchasing items
from other countries, watching films from various countries is also a globalization experience
because I have already learned a little bit of their languages thanks to their movies. And this
makes me love the culture they have acquired. That's the thing that I have experience with or
possess that has something to do with globalization.

EnrichmentActivity

I. Cut out pictures that indicate globalization as ECONOMIC/POLITICAL and CULTURAL

PROCESS.

Discuss your collage on the space provided below by citing the similarities and differences of
each approach to the study of globalization.
Globalization refers to the increasing interconnection of the world's economies, cultures,
and populations as a result of cross-border trade in products and services, technology, finance,
people, and information flow. My collage pictures shows the economic, political, and cultural
processes which are the three different types of globalization processes. Economic globalization
is the integration of worldwide financial markets and the facilitation of financial trade as shown in
the collage pictures. While in the second column pictures which is the Political globalization

includes national programs that enhance political, economic, and cultural cooperation among
countries. The third column pictures is the cultural globalization which centers on the
technological and sociological variables that cause civilizations to collide in major parts,
effective communication ease, social media's rapid spread, and access to faster and better
transportation are only a few instances. Their similarity is that they work together as; Economic
globalization, for instance, is fueled by liberalized national trade policies. Cultural globalization is
influenced by political policies that make it easier for people to connect and travel around the
world. Economic globalization also affects cultural globalization. This is through the acquisition
of products and services that expose individuals to many cultures. Those approach of
globalization differ in the challenges that open up opportunities like globalization as an
economic process. Attract resources that the system is incapable of working without. The
spread of the market economy to an increasing number of countries has heightened competition
and hastened the transition to a higher level. While in the process of globalization as a political
process, its opportunities are to create a strong network of regional and global institutions as the
basis for building a better international order and the spread of liberal values and democratic
forms of political systems in the countries of the world. The challenges that open up
opportunities for globalization as a cultural process are the mutual enrichment of different
national cultures through access to others and the dissemination of multiculturalism principles.

Globalization processes differ in terms of the problems that bring up opportunities, such as
globalization as an economic process. Recruit resources that the system can't function without.
The development of the market economy in a growing number of countries has increased
competition and has accelerated the transition to a higher level. As a political process,
globalization has the potential to construct a robust network of regional and global institutions as
the foundation for a stronger international order and the spread of liberal principles and
democratic forms.Enumerate democratic structures in the world's countries. Mutual enrichment
of distinct national cultures through access to others is one of the issues that opens up the
potential for globalization as a cultural process.
