• We are seeking a talented and passionate, senior individual to join Standard Chartered as the Executive
Director, Operational Excellence Ways of Working – Head of Process Tooling in the Group Transformation
Office.
• The Group Transformation Office drives and executes the overall strategic transformation agenda. The
team works under the guidance of the Global Head, Transformation, Chief Transformation, Technology and
Operations Officer and TTO MT. The office also collaborates closely with other senior business and
functional leaders in the bank to build and drive the bank-wide transformation.
The ED, Operational Excellence Ways of Working – Head of Process Tooling is a global role based in our Singapore
headquarters. This role requires excellent understanding of process management practices across multiple business
lines & functions and proficiency in process improvement methodologies with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
The person in the role must work with senior business leaders and is:
• Accountable and responsible for the execution of operational excellence ways of working priorities across
the bank.
• Accountable for various OE WOW initiatives across the bank, including OE framework development and
launch, execution of process improvement programs, launch of process management / WOW practices and
benefits realisation (incl. productivity gains and financial / non-financial benefits).
• Acting as the Product Owner of process tooling platform roll-out across SCB and accountable for its
deployment at scale.
• Leading the strategy, roadmap planning, onboarding and aftercare of tooling solution / platform capabilities
in countries, business lines and functions including design of processes and customer journeys, control
effectiveness governance and progress / compliance reporting.
• Leading the development and maintenance of standards and guidelines related to process modelling,
content quality assurance, content release (global / local), tooling / KPI reporting, business control
workflow, asset promotion and utilization across geographies, business lines and functions.
PUBLIC
• Leading tooling solution / platform configuration change lifecycle management (incl. portals and templates)
across the tooling solution of choice and connected assets and artefacts (e.g., risk & control frameworks,
data management tools, data privacy and protection policies and practice).
• Providing senior on-the-ground expertise, support, governance and monitoring of solution platform launch
and roll-out of platform capabilities.
• Aligning and configuring tooling solution platform features based on the OE WOW framework and
execution guidelines, providing seamless integration of platform capabilities in the execution of process
improvement programs / launch of process management practices.
• Leading a cross-functional team of transformation, business and technology experts (e.g., technical product
owners, business architects, business integration experts, functional application experts) in setting up,
planning, executing and monitoring the deployment and usage of the tooling solution platform across the
bank.
• Responsible for developing capabilities and skills of business owners, process owners, process participants
and 2nd and 3rd LOD in using process platform capabilities in e2e processes and customer journeys.
• Responsible for coordinating the development and delivery of all process tooling platform trainings in
geographies, business lines and functions.
• Responsible for identifying gaps in the required skills and resources for platform deployment and usage in
geographies, business lines and functions and working with accountable stakeholders to address them.
• Supporting the recruitment, training and development of platform deployment and integration experts in
geographies, business lines and functions, responsible for mentoring the talent pool.
• Developing and leading the execution of initiatives and measures to ensure long-term impact and
sustainability of the process tooling platform in SCB
Strategy
• Contribute to formulation of Bank’s OE WOW strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic business
outcomes.
• Establish a portfolio of initiatives to achieve target outcomes including driving broad bank-wide cultural
transformation.
• Drive growth and branding of OE WOW in the bank, help embed bank wide culture of sustainable
continuous improvement.
Business
Processes
• Oversee and accountable for process management taxonomy implementation for assigned areas in the
bank
Risk Management
• Ensure that OE proposed changes/reengineering don’t compromise existing risks and controls and where
required strengthen them.
PUBLIC
• Engage process and risk control owners in upfront in design of process changes. Have oversight of direct
tracking and monitoring of projects.
Governance
• Oversee delivery of OE portfolio of initiatives with accountability for delivering agreed outcomes.
• Guide teams in becoming self-sustaining in new process/ work environments.
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory
requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Champion and act as a role model of the Group’s values and culture. Lead through example and build the
appropriate culture and values. Work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability
through standardised metrics and measurement, ensuring everyone in the Bank are drivers and owners of
client outcomes.
• Ensure assigned OE capacity is reviewed to enable delivery of client outcomes.
• Ensure the provision of on-going training & development, ensure that direct reports are suitably skilled and
qualified for their roles and that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risk.
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line
with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
• Create a motivational and challenging environment for staff which is conducive to creativity and
performance with customer centricity in mind.
• Provide feedback on transformation leaders to their people leaders, as part of performance reviews.
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and

Key Stakeholders
• 12+ years of experience in Process Tooling and Process Tooling platforms like Celonis, Software AG &
Signavio
• Expertise in Process mining, including outstanding functional expertise and tooling capability development
and deployment with demonstrated track record of achieved impact.
• Experience being a Product Owner of process tooling platforms roll-out and accountable for its deployment
at a large scale.
