• Introduction to WAKANDA: The WAKANDA Initiative, launched in 2018, represents a comprehensive agenda for transformation within the AfDB. It
aimed to modernize, simplify, and streamline the bank's core operational systems and business processes.
• Main Objective: Within the WAKANDA framework, the bank aimed to improve its primary operating system (SAP), promote decentralization, optimize
business processes, and enhances data management and reporting mechanisms.
• Operational Improvements: A significant accomplishment of the WAKANDA Initiative was the identification and resolution of operational challenges
in the Sovereign and Non- Sovereign Operations sectors. Our team successfully improved processes and enhanced client interactions.
• Technological Advancements: In addition to operational enhancements, another noteworthy achievement was the upgrade of the bank's central
system, SAP. This involved not only technical improvements but also the integration of functionalities tailored to the diverse operations of the bank.
