CHAMELEON’S TAIL

The chameleon, a reptile from the lizard family that, unlike other lizards, have developed its
own ability to change color. Chameleons are also famous for their tight, spiral-shaped tails which they
use for grasping trees. With such characteristics proves that mathematics could indeed be found in
nature.
As with the characteristics mentioned, specifically with its tail, this particular animal shows the
Fibonacci sequence with its tail showing a spiral figure thus representing the said Mathematics patter
- Fibonacci sequence. The Fibonacci sequence could be seen if you try to imagine the pattern itself
being drawn starting from the tip of the tail spiraling towards its body. Drawing the imaginary spiral will
reveal a close to an exact pattern of the Fibonacci spiral. To further expand the thought, the Fibonacci
sequence goes as 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, and so on. This sequence could be seen
from the spiral starting from the tip being the smallest number of the sequence going towards the
body showing the increase as such as the Fibonacci sequence pattern.

With such stated, mathematics in nature are indeed true and could be seen from nearly
anywhere from the smallest of creatures to the ever-changing weather. Observe, locate, and apply
concepts and such mathematics will always be in sight.
