1. COURSE OBJECTIVE

The objective of the course is to equip the students with basic understanding of the
research methodology and its application in management.

2. EXPECTATIONS FROM PARTICIPANTS

 Participants are expected to keep professional decorum of a progressive business


student with enquiring mindset and social orientation in a responsible learning mode.
 Participants are expected to come well prepared to the class.
 Cases, Projects and Discussions will be the primary modes of learning. Hence
active participation is expected.
 Participants should be prepared to give a professional group presentation that is
relevant to the theme of the session.
 Academic integrity and professional honesty
 Students are expected to use all library and reference sources like EBSCO effectively
for preparation.

6. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY PROJECT

The participants will have to do a major project as part of the research methodology course. As
part of the project, they will have to
a) Identify a problem
b) Prepare a research plan
c) Conduct a research &
d) Come out with finding
The project would be a group project and additional details of the same will be shared in the
classroom. As part of the course the participants will also be encouraged to take part in Business
Research Projects which the institute takes up as part of consulting arrangements or offered by
Market Research companies.
