Key Concepts
Instrumental music was considered important by classical period composers. Composers and
listeners liked music produced by the instruments alone.
The vocal music that was loved by the people during the medieval period is now replaced by
the instrumental music.
Choral works and opera (a staged dramatic work for singers and orchestra) were also important
during this period.
But music has different characteristics as of its tempo, rhythm, texture, melody, dynamics and
the like making it unique from the other. Just listen to the music that suits you and pleasing
to your ears.
