Rules And Regulation-SNPL 2022-Nov

General Rules
• Each innings will consist of 5 overs. 1 over per bowler.
• New ball will be used for each innings.
• Scoring runs- 1,2,3,4 and 6.
• 6 Teams of 7 Players each.
• Two playing captains to select 3 umpires from Team C,D,E,F MUTUALLY.
• Umpire decision will be final decision, any kind of animosity against the umpire will result in a penalty of 10runs.
• For any discrepancies ONLY CAPTAINS will approach the umpires, no team members will be allowed in this discussion.
• The 5 bowlers cannot open the innings. The remaining 2 of the 7 players will open innings to ensure maximum participation.
• Each team will play 3 matches with other selected teams for top 4 thereafter the top 4 will play against each other for the place in
finals.
• There would be 3 rounds for the team to qualify in finals. 1st round will be Semi- Finals 1 where the 1st & 2nd team in points table
will play for the position in finals where the winner of Semi- Finals 1 will be directly promoted to finals.
• The 2nd round will be Eliminator 1 where the 3rd and 4th team in eliminator will play for the position in 3rd round Semi- Finals 2 and
losing team will be eliminated from the tournament.
• The 3rd round will be Eliminator 2 where the loser of Semi- Finals 1 will Play against winner of Eliminator 1 for the position in
finals.
• Finals will be between winner of Semi- Finals 1 and winner of Eliminator 2.
• PLEASE NOTE-WAITING TIME OF 5MINS MAXIMUM WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY TEAM. POST WHICH IF
PLAYER IS NOT AVAILABLE THEY WILL PLAY THAT MAN SHORT. N0 CHANGE OF RULES FOR ANYONE.
Bowling Rules
• Balls should be pitched beyond the marked no-ball center line. Balls pitched before and on the line
will be declared as a no Ball.
• Blower should bowl from the marked bowling box and inform the bowling side to the umpire.
Player touching the line or stepping out of the box during delivery is no ball in any situation. After
delivery if the bowler steps out of the box it will be considered as legal delivery.
• No ball if the ball pitches on the line or outside the sidelines.
• If the ball pitches after the center line and bounces twice it will be considered as a DEAD BALL.
• ALL BALLS PITCHED BEFORE THE CENTRE LINE WILL BE NO
BALLS,IRRESPECTIVE IF BECOMES 2 BOUNCES BY THE TIME IT REACHES
BATSMAN.
• No ball - If the batsman is within his crease and the ball is bowled directly above the waist.
• If the batsman stands outside the crease, no ball will not be given.
• Over the head bowls will be wide in any scenario. Stumping will be considered OUT in this
scenario.
• Chest height balls will be considered as 1 bounce balls.
Bowling Rules

• During his bowling stride the bowler can back out from delivering the ball
any time until the release of the ball and it won’t be deemed as a No Ball.
• Over the line will be considered as a WIDE bowl.
• Bowls caught ahead of the stump by wicketkeeper will be considered as a
NO BALL.
• Pace bowling is allowed. In the spirt of sportsmanship the bowler should
understand the ground and pitch length and bowl accordingly. If the bowler
doesn’t seem to comprehend the same, captains to ensure sportsmanship is
maintained.
• Ball-wicket-run count in No balls.
• Run-wicket count in Wide balls.
• Wicket count in Mankand.
Batting Rules
• Direct outside the ground towards any side is OUT.
• If the ball goes directly in the building but within the grill or net it will be 1 run declared, above the grill/net
will be OUT.
• Full ground boundaries. (Edge pillars are also considered as boundaries incase any disputes umpires decision
will be final decision)
• If the ball get deflected due to non striker and goes directly to the boundary it will be considered 6, if bounced
it will be considered 4, if caught directly it will be given out and if it goes out of the ground directly it will be
considered as OUT.
• Leg byes and byes are allowed.
• Touch to run in any part of the ground.
• If the ball hits slide/Stone or any distraction in any bounce and goes out, it will be considered as 1 run.
• Bounced balls in any neighboring buildings will be 1 Run declared, irrespective of half line crossed or not.
• Overthrow outside the ground is 1run declared.
• Last man will be compulsory 2/4/6 runs.
• Direct out in no ball is not out in box cricket.
• If ball is hit directly out of the ground in NO ball, only 1 run for no ball will be given.
Power Play
• The 1st over of the innings will be power play over.
• In power play the 2 fielders should have to be positioned ahead of the
slide and a wicket-keeper, so there will be 4 fielders including the
bowler to defend the boundary.
• Scoring runs- 1,2,3,4 & 6.
• In case a wicket is taken in powerplay the batsman will be deemed out
with a penalty of 3 runs on batting team.
• All the other rules same.
Note:
It is difficult to predict every situation and make the rules regarding
the same, so whenever such situation arises umpires decision would
be the final decision. So choose your umpires wisely.
