1) Paul created an animation video for his capstone project to teach others about his interest in art and animation.
2) He demonstrated the six competencies by introducing himself and his experience with animation, and answering potential viewer questions.
3) The most challenging parts of the project were finding the right video editing software and figuring out how to record the animation process step-by-step.

Final Capstone Reflection Journal Entry
What I learned about my subject is how I can show people my interest of art in a way people can find the topic interesting and learn more about how I can use my own art skill to make an animation. Another thing I learn is how my understanding of animation can help me improve in the future. How this project is relevant to me, the school and the community is how I can teach it to the people who like animation and want to try animation for themselves. Why this topic is relevant to me because it also teaches me more on how animation works and how to create one. How I demonstrated the six competences throughout my project was telling people my own experience with animation and introducing myself on why I like animation. I also tell them some answers that the viewer may find confusing like “what happens if I make a mistake” or “how do I make sure which frame is which.” I also talk about the notes I got from my Mentor and from my own Researching throughout this whole project. The impact it had on me when doing this project was that it helps me further understand animation, and it made me happy of my way of expressing the topic I like by showing a video and editing it while remembering how to edit the video. It also impacted me in a way where I always remember what to do for the project like its always in the back of my head so everyday, I keep on reminding myself about the Capstone and what I need to do. While working on this project I had to get out of my comfort zone and ask my mentor some questions about animation and I use those notes for my Capstone video Project. What I was most proud of during this project was how I was able to put all my recordings in one video because video editing can take up lots of time in the day and you must make sure that everything in the recording sounds right. I was proud of my own ability to turn 7 to 8 recordings in one single video about a topic that inspired me for a long time. The difficulties I have during this Project was finding the right video editing software and how I’m going to record my process on show step by step for animation. How I was able to solve that problem was by talking to my cousin about video editing software’s and one of the software’s he recommended me the most was a free video editing software called Davinci Resolve. Another difficulty I had was trying to figure out how am I going to record myself showing the step-by-step process of animation. I was able to solve this problem by watching a YouTube Video on best software’s to use for screen recording and I found one software that was very comfortable for me to use called OBS Studios because I can use that to screen record my project and to Remux (convert) my recording files from MKV file to Mp4 file. The one thing about my finished project I wish I could change is how I could have explained all the details of animation in a way I did not stutter when I speak about my mentors notes and experience of animation. So, one thing I wish I could change is to not feel nervous when talking about a huge topic while showing the animation process because I want to get out of my comfort zone and speak very clearly on showing my inspired topic without feeling nervous. Some advice I can give to a student who will be completing their capstone project this year is to always prepare for what their Capstone is before hand, always stay on task, and create a schedule on how they are going to plan and work on their Capstone project. What source of research that helped me out the most was from a Video about how to animate in Krita because the speaker Jesse J. Jones show some notes about animation, and I use those notes with my own experience to show how the step-by-step animation works in a way it is clear to understand. One thing about my approach to my project that I wish I could change is that I would spend more time with creating and showing different animation principles in Krita because I would have given the viewer more in-depth details about the different principles of animation and how It can be used into every animation that exist in today’s world of digital art and animation.
