    SEMI – DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 2

    I. Objectives
    At the end of the 60 – minutes session, the students will be able to;
    a. Give an example of verb or an action word.
    b. Identify the verb being use in the sentence; and
    c. Use the verb in the sentence

    II. Subject Matter


    Learning Competency: MELCS Guidelines
    Topic: Verb – the action word
    Materials: manila paper, cut out picture. Marker
    Reference: English For You and Me: Reading Language 2 by: Benita N. Miranda

    III. Procedure
    A. Preparing Activities
    1. Classroom Routine
     Prayer
     Greetings
     Attendance
     Review
    2. Motivation
    The teacher will divide the students into two groups and the name of the
    first group is dog and the second is bird. Then the students will shout and
    act according to their group’s name when they are called.

    B. Lesson Proper
    1. Activity
    The teacher will portray the action words she prepared then the students
    will guess what the teacher did.
    1. Walking
    2. Sing
    3. Eat
    4. Dance
    2. Analysis
    The teacher will ask the following questions:
    1. What is our topic all about based on the activity we did?
    2. How did you know that our topic is that?
    3. In your own idea what is verb?

    3. Abstraction
    The teacher will discuss the following concepts.
     Definition of the verb

    4. Application
    The students will answer the following questions:
    Direction: in a sheet of paper, identify the verb being use in the sentence.
    You will be given 30 minutes to answer the following.
    1. Heziel sang in the stage.
    2. Ira dance gracefully.
    3. Aika loves to cook dinner for her family.
    4. My sister loves to eat fruits.

    IV. Evaluation
    The teacher will now measure the students learning in a quiz.

    Direction: in a ½ sheet of paper, make a five sentences using the verb or using an
    action word.

    V. Assignment
    Make a short story and identify the verb or action word that being use in the
    story.
