STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The school rules have been delineated under various sections and students are expected to adhere to
the code of conduct mentioned therein. Please note that noncompliance with the school rules (and
Code of Conduct) shall lead to disciplinary actions which may include dismissal from the school.
Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline and dignified manner of behavior
inside the School campus. They shall abide by the rules and regulations of the School and should act in a
way that highlights the values and esteem of the School.

1. Parent Responsibilities
Parents / Guardians play an important role in establishing a positive climate at the School for students to
thrive. It is expected that parents do help students and staff members promote a supportive, safe, and
welcoming school environment in these ways:
1.1. Talk with their ward about appropriate conduct at school.
1.2. Be respectful and courteous to other students, fellow parents/guardians, and school staff.
1.3. Read and be familiar with school policies, regulations, and rules.
1.4. Have regular contact with school staff and make every effort to ensure that their ward
maintains regular school attendance.
1.5. Be involved in grade-level meetings, events, conferences, hearings, and all matters concerning
their ward.
1.6. Help their ward access supportive groups or programs designed to improve his/her conduct,
such as counseling, after-school programs, and other services available in/through the school
and community.
1.7. Promptly share any concerns or complaints with school officials and work with school staff and
administrators to address any behavioral problems their ward may experience.

2. Communication:
With the Teachers:
2.1. Parents to contact their ward’s teachers through Edmodo only.
2.2. Parents are encouraged to keep a warm, open dialogue with the teachers via Edmodo.
2.3. Parents to adhere to the Edmodo Code of Conduct.
2.4. Action, will be taken for any breach of the Code of Conduct.
2.5. Parents will not engage with teachers in discussions during check-in/check-out times. Any
messages that need to be passed on to the Homeroom Teacher can be done through a direct
message on Edmodo.
2.6. Parents will not Contact teachers on their personal numbers.
With the Admin:
2.7. Parents will contact the school authorities for all admin related queries, such as uniforms,
books, holidays, requests for bonafide certificates, and so on using the email addresses given

3. General Rules and Regulations:


3.1. For safety and security, parents will refrain from sending money, valuables (like expensive
jewelry, electronic items, etc.) with their ward without specific written notice from the school.
3.2. Expensive gifts, sweets, cakes or any other gifts to staff and students are not allowed for all
celebrations. Students & parents are encouraged to contribute books to the school library or
donate to the School Community Fund. The school has a selection of book titles that parents
can choose from, by getting in touch with the Programme Coordinator or Homeroom Teacher,
via Edmodo.
3.3. Parents can meet teachers only during Parent Teacher Meetings, or by requesting for an
appointment to meet the Programme Coordinator. It is mandatory for both parents to attend
each meeting.
3.4. Meetings with teachers during school hours are strictly prohibited.
3.5. Parents are prohibited from reaching any staff directly on their mobile phones.
3.6. Please refer to the calendar before taking/applying for any leave of absence.
3.7. No leave / permissions are allowed during the Summative Assessments, reopening or closing
day of a semester. Request for re-test for Summative Assessments will not be encouraged. This

will be reflected in the report card.
3.8. Parents will ensure that their ward completes his/her home task regularly
3.9. Students must part take in the Community Projects, Clubs, initiated by the School.
3.10. Unauthorized meetings, propaganda work, processions or fund collections are forbidden
within the school premises unless explicit written permission is sought from the School
Leadership Team.
3.11. Payment of all types of fees must be made on time, or in advance, to avoid late payment
charges. Any such amount will be deducted from the wallet money or refundable deposit.
3.12. Fees: The Annual Tuition Fee is payable, whether the student completes the year at the school
or leaves the school before the end of the academic year. The Annual tuition fee may be paid
in full at the start of the Academic Year or in two installments. The installments are payable
when ‘fee demands’ are raised.
3.13. Late payment of fees will attract a fine according to the School policy.
3.13.1. Up to 15 days after the last date for payment of fees: Rs. 500/-
3.13.2. From the 16th day onwards up to 30 days: Rs.500/- + Rs.100/- for each day.
3.14. If Fees is not paid even after one month of the due date, the student will not be allowed to
attend classes until
3.14.1. The parent / legal guardian meets the Head of School and
3.14.2. All dues including the late fees is remitted
3.15. Fees once paid, will not be refunded, prorated or transferred under any circumstance. The fees
must be paid by Demand Draft, directly payable at the City Union Bank, Teynampet Branch or
the City Union Bank Online Portal. The school fee is subject to periodic revision.
3.16. The payments for examination registrations for applicable grades should also be made in the
window period intimated by the school. The registration of the student for the examination
would not be possible if the payment has not been received by the school within the stipulated
date. This would also attract a fine which would be intimated at the time of payment by the
Accounts Officer.
3.17. Any violation of the above rules will invite penalty in the form of warning, fine, bringing of
parents or any course of corrective measure as found suitable by any staff member or higher
authority of the school.
3.18. Students who violate the school rules will not be permitted to represent the school in any inter-
school sports or other activities, irrespective of individual interests or talent.

4. Student Responsibilities
Students share responsibilities with school staff for maintaining an environment of mutual respect and
dignity in the school. Students take an active role in making school a supportive, safe, and welcoming
place for all students and staff in these ways:
4.1. Demonstrate pride in self, and in the School by arriving on time, dressing appropriately, and
being prepared to focus on their learning.

4.2. Be respectful and courteous to fellow students, parents / guardians and school staff.
4.3. Seek the most peaceful means of resolving conflict, and obtain the assistance of teachers,
administrators, parent / guardian, or school staff, when unable to resolve conflicts.
4.4. Follow school rules and policies and contribute to a positive school climate by behaving
appropriately, even when not specifically asked to do so.
4.5. Recognize how their conduct affects other students and school staff, and make every
reasonable effort to restore relationships and correct any harm caused to others in the school
community.
4.6. Seek access to, complete work while out of school for disciplinary reasons.
4.7. The language of instruction is English at School and students are expected to communicate in
English at all times, except during additional language classes. The greeting may be in the
respective additional language.
4.8. Avoid intentionally engaging in behavior that causes distraction from the learning environment
or school related activities, including behavior that originates off campus and / or affects the
safety of others. (This can include the use of technology and social media.)
4.9. The first period will begin with Homeroom time. The Homeroom Teacher will begin with the
School prayer and an agenda for the morning. Students must be present for this morning
routine. Important announcements are made during this Homeroom time.
4.10. For the events such as Student seminars, project presentations etc., it is compulsory that all
the students of the concerned class to be present for the entire session.
4.11. All students shall leave the classes immediately after their check out times. No student shall
wander or gather in unauthorized spaces after check out time.
4.12. Any misbehavior or violation of school discipline will be dealt with by the disciplinary
committee and corrective action will be taken. In extreme cases, parents will be called in, to
discuss the ward’s behavior and may lead to suspension or expulsion from the school.
4.13. For independent study, students are expected to use the class rooms, library or the designated
areas of the campus and shall not resort to sitting in staircases or circulation areas where they
could interfere with free movement.
4.14. Students are expected to maintain appropriate decibel levels at all times to maintain the
decorum. Any deviant behavior such as hooting, whistling or shouting etc. will be treated as
an instance of indiscipline.
4.15. Students are encouraged to make use of the facilities including classroom/common areas or
sports field for any after-school program authorized by the School beyond class hours only
under the supervision of a school appointed staff.
4.16. Students are expected to follow the rules of the School and the directions given by the staff.
When asked to do something by a staff member, students are expected to do it courteously.
4.17. Students will not bring objects to School other than regular materials. Parents have the
responsibility to check their ward’s bag periodically.
4.18. In the case of early check out a student may leave the classroom only when accompanied by a
school staff member and must report directly to the Admin Office.

4.19. Sports and games are to be played with the spirit of sportsmanship.
4.20. Aggression, fighting on the field and using abusive language will invite strict disciplinary action
by the School.
4.21. During PE classes there will be no unruly behaviour with other students or staff.
4.22. Students may use only school issued notebooks for their use.

5.1. Students are expected to have strict adherence to school timings. Students will not be
permitted to enter the school after commencement of school time unless a valid reason is
given.
5.2. All students must check-in at the school before the first school bell of the morning. The
students should be inside the School campus at least 10 minutes before the commencement
of the morning routine. School Assembly is a must for all students to attend.
5.3. Late coming will attract a contribution of Rs. 100/- which will be added to the School
Community Fund. Such amounts, if not paid immediately, will be deducted from the wallet.
The fund will be utilized towards community projects undertaken by the students in their
respective campus.
5.4. Three or more late comings in a month may lead to consequences as decided. Students may
be required to stay back outside of school hours to do school community service, after the
parents have been informed.
5.5. All the students are expected to be present in class well within time. Students must report to
class on time after breaks or specialist classes.
5.6. The students should attend their classes punctually with the lessons well prepared.

5.7. Class Cutting / Skipping: Failing to attend a class, after arrival at school, without the necessary
permission from a staff member is not permissible. Missing class for more than 10 minutes will
be treated as an absence for that class and intimated to the parent immediately.
5.8. Frequent or long absenteeism will be severely dealt with, unless there is a genuine reason for
the same.
5.9. Student dispersal: At the time of dispersal, parents must make arrangements for the pick-up
of their warden on time.
5.10. To ensure the safety of every student, in the Primary grades (ELC1 to G 5), student ID cards
must be shown by the person who comes to pick up the ward at the time of dispersal.
5.11. If the person who regularly picks up the student is unable to come on a particular day, an email
must be sent to the Admin and the Coordinator, at least one day prior, notifying the school
about the change. Details of the person and his/her relationship with the parent must be
specified in the email. The pick-up person must carry the ID card of the student, his/her original
ID and a photocopy of the same for pick up.

6. Leave of Absence
6.1. Students must have a minimum attendance of 90% during the academic year in order to take
the school examinations / assessment. Attendance will be reported in every report card.
6.2. Students may not miss any school event mentioned in the School calendar. Attendance is
mandatory for all school events marked in the school calendar. Consequences for students
who miss school events may include staying back outside of the school hours for community
service. In the Primary School the parent may have to engage in community service along with
their ward.
6.3. Students may not miss flag hoisting on Independence Day & Republic Day.
6.4. Students must not take leave on the first and last days of the school semester or before or
after a long weekend/holiday.
6.5. Students will not miss classes while in school. Students will not be permitted to leave school
during the school hours for any type of appointment or engagement.
6.6. Leave of absence from school: Parents must inform the School in case of leave in all cases. All
leave of absence must be informed to the Homeroom Teacher via direct message on Edmodo.
6.7. Students may leave the campus during class hours only after getting a gate pass from the
Campus Admin and getting it signed off from the Homeroom Teacher & Program Coordinator
and after making entry in the Gate Register maintained by the Security.
6.8. For leave requests of more than two days, leave application must be submitted to the Program
Coordinators by email. All leave applications (Regular & Medical) shall be submitted in time,
for sanction by Coordinator/ HOS and concerned teachers. Application for medical leave shall
be accompanied by a valid Medical Certificate.
6.9. Students must present a medical certificate from a qualified doctor to the Homeroom Teacher
in case of a leave due to medical reasons.
6.10. Long leave may only be taken with the prior permission of the Program Coordinator / Head of

School.
6.11. A student is permitted to leave school during school hours, if unwell only, with the permission
from the Homeroom Teacher / Program Coordinator. Such students may leave only after
getting a gate pass from the Admin and getting it signed off from the HRT & Coordinator / HOS
and after making entry in the Gate Register maintained by the Security.
6.12. In case of an approved permission the student check in / check out will be at 12.20 p.m.

7. Uniform / Grooming and School Identity Card

7.1. The School logo is embroidered on the T. Shirt.


7.2. Students are expected to dress in a decorous manner which reflects the educational nature.
Clothes that are with revealing or offensive or inflammatory language or graphics are
unacceptable.
7.3. Neatly ironed and complete uniform is compulsory on all working days.
7.4. Proper approved uniform is to be worn as indicated.
7.5. Shoes should be maintained neat and tidy with the laces properly tied. Socks should be washed
& changed every day.
7.6. Rubber / plastic chappals / sandals / footwear with heals are not permitted at anytime unless
a written consent is obtained for the same.
7.7. During PE classes, students may choose to wear Sports shoes and shorts
7.8. Avoid fancy, costly items or any attractive accessories (long ear rings, bangles, watches, etc.).
The school shall not be responsible for loss of any such items. Gold & Silver ornaments are
strictly prohibited, for the safety of your ward
7.9. Nails should be periodically cleaned and trimmed. Bright nail polish, nail art is strictly
prohibited.

7.10. All kinds of tattooing, body piercing, hair styling and so on, that goes against the values of
School will be referred to the discipline committee.
7.11. Students’ hair should be well kept and must not hamper vision.
7.12. Boys
7.12.1. Should trim their hair periodically.
7.12.2. Should not grow a beard or moustache.
7.13. Girls
7.13.1. Should tie their hair neatly with a band.
7.13.2. Long hair must be plaited.
7.14. At any time if a student is detected with head lice, parents will be informed the same day. The
student can attend school only after he / she is completely rid of infestation.
7.15. Matted hair is not permissible
7.16. All students are expected to attend all functions in school uniform unless otherwise specified.
7.17. Students representing the school at Sports events outside of school must wear the PE uniform
regardless of the house / team they belong to.
7.18. Students representing the school in non-sport events, i.e formal events like MUN or
conferences must wear formal black trousers, white full sleeved shirt with or without jackets.
Girls may wear knee length dresses or skirts or trousers with half sleeved or full sleeved tops.
7.19. All students are issued school ID cards at the beginning of the academic year
7.20. All the students shall wear / carry their identity cards, well displayed during exams, field trips,
and while representing School in events.
7.21. Identity badge is a public document and any teaching staff and non-teaching staff shall have
the right to peruse it. Denial of that invites disciplinary action.
7.22. Primary school:
7.22.1. Student ID cards must not be carried by the student to school on a daily basis. It must
be brought by the person picking up the student.
7.22.2. ID cards are required on all field trips. In case a student fails to bring her/his ID card
at the start of the trip, the student will stay back at school and not accompany the
rest of the class on the trip. Students must be picked up by the parent as soon as
intimated.
7.23. Secondary school:
7.23.1. Students must bring their ID cards during all field trips. In case a student fails to bring
her/his ID card at the start of the trip, the student will stay back at school and not
accompany the rest of the class on the trip.
7.23.2. Students must wear the ID card during all school and board examinations. If a
student comes for an examination without the ID card, then the student will not be
allowed into the examination hall.
7.24. If a School Id is misplaced or lost, it must be immediately replaced by requesting for a new one
via email/written communication to the Campus Admin and paying charges at the School

Office. Failure to do so or last-minute request will attract additional fees for issue of ID card.
7.25. The Uniform may be purchased at the School Office on designated days.
7.26. If a student is found not wearing the correct uniform or wearing a torn or faded one, the
school will inform the parents, after which the student will be sent home.

8. Food Habits:
8.1. Nutritious food such as fruits, vegetables, fresh juices, sprouts, nuts etc. are encouraged for
snacks. The school does not provide any eatables.
8.2. Junk foods and oily items are best avoided.
8.3. Parents must ensure their wards bring a snack, lunch and drinking water to school every day.
The school will not be responsible for making alternative arrangements for food. The lunch kit
must comprise of two towels, spoon, fork and enough water for your ward for the entire day.
Kindly send the right quantity of snacks and lunch for your ward.
8.4. Avoid sending food in very costly containers. The school shall not be responsible for loss of
such items.
8.5. Label your ward’s name in all his/her belongings.

9. Mental, Emotional and Physical Health Care:


9.1. Students are expected to be courteous and considerate in dealings with other students.
Students are expected to have respect for their peers and be sensitive to differences among
themselves due to physical, cultural and economic considerations.
9.2. The following behaviours are not acceptable:
9.2.1. physical, verbal, written, electronic messages with implicit or explicit sexual content
9.2.2. any psychological abuse
9.2.3. bullying or intimidation or stalking
9.2.4. swearing or use of inappropriate language including gestures
9.2.5. discrimination on the basis of race, culture, language, religion, gender, disability,
sexual orientation, or any other personal attribute.
9.2.6. making intentional and harmful gestures, verbal or written comments, including
profane language, or symbols to others.
9.2.7. being insubordinate: repeatedly or persistently disrespectful, in defiance of authority.
9.2.8. inappropriate behavior of any nature including sexual (possession of pornographic
materials).
9.3. Unacceptable behavior including but not limited to irregular attendance, academic dishonesty,
neglect of homework, disruptive behavior, loitering and disrespectful behavior towards staff
or fellow students will result in serious disciplinary action.
9.4. Harassing juniors, ill treatment to other fellow students or any such form of ragging is
objectionable and liable to be treated as a criminal offence by the law enforcing agencies as
per the directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.

9.5. Misbehavior towards girl students, junior students, use of threat or violence against members
of the staff or fellow students will be considered as very serious cases of misconduct.
9.6. The possession, distribution, and / or use of alcohol or illicit drugs are NOT permitted in the
school premises or school bus / van, or at school sponsored activities, regardless of age.
9.7. Smoking is NOT permitted in the school premises or school bus/van, or at school sponsored
activities. Students found smoking in school uniform, even if it is outside of school hours will
be dealt with dire consequences.
9.8. Any such behaviour will warrant strict warning including immediate dismissal. Any form of
bullying or ragging will result in a disciplinary committee review and could result in expulsion
with a negative conduct certificate.

10. Health and Well-being:

10.1. The school must be a safe community for students, staff, parents and guests.
10.2. If your ward has any specific allergy or physical illness, kindly do inform the Homeroom Teacher
and the School authorities regarding the matter as soon as possible.
10.3. Kindly note that in case of any sickness, immediate First Aid will be provided by the School
Authorities. In case of any emergency, your ward will be taken to the Emergency Care at the
nearest registered hospital to provide immediate first aid. Parent / Guardian will be intimated
by the quickest possible means of communication.
10.4. All expenses at the hospital including transportation will be payable by the parent.
10.5. All non-student visitors are expected to report to the main office only and be seated in the
designated area only.
10.6. Parents / Grandparents / guardians / relatives / Guardians are considered visitors.
10.7. All visitors must be approved by the School office.
10.8. Students detected with fever or other ailments at school will be sent back home after
informing the parents. Parents are required to keep their wards at home for 24 hours or more
till the fever / ailment abates.
10.9. Children who need to take medication when at school will have to bring a letter from home,
addressed to the Homeroom Teacher with the details of what and when the medication will
be taken by the children. The Homeroom Teacher will not be responsible for administering any
medication.
10.10. The parent must come in to administer the medication or the student will be sent home after
informing the parent.
10.11. If a student falls sick at school, the parents are intimated through a phone call from the school
office. Parents must be available to answer calls from the school at any time during the School
working hours and must make arrangements to pick up the student from school as early as
possible.
10.12. For Medical emergencies, the parents will be contacted immediately and the student will be
taken to the hospital nearest the respective campuses. Only when the parent arrives and the

necessary authorization is given, the Hospital will begin treatment. In case of an emergency,
authorization by SMS or email is required immediately. The School representative will be with
the student till the family member / parents arrive to take charge.
10.13. Students suffering from infectious and contagious diseases should not attend school on any
account. The quarantine period is 21 days for chicken pox and measles and 14 days for mumps.
10.14. To ensure the well-being of other students, parents are required to send in a medical fitness
certificate after any illness.

11. Field trip Procedure::

11.1. Field trips are purposeful and an extension of learning that is happening in the classrooms.
They also provide an opportunity for real world experience that solidifies Student Learning.
11.2. Students will attend all Field Trips related to their class. All Field Trips, whether within the city
or outside are mandatory for all students.
11.3. Field trips are organized with the concurrence of the administration and are related to the
curriculum.
11.4. As a part of the procedure, the parents are required to sign the Field Trip consent form for
each individual trip.
11.5. The amount to be paid will be deducted from the Wallet maintained for each student by the
school.
11.6. Kindly note that field trip deductions will be done even though the student may not attend the
field trip.
11.7. All trips will be during the school hours only, unless otherwise explicitly stated.
11.8. Outstation trips will be for 2 to 5 days. They are calendared as a part of the curriculum. In the
case of outstation trips the cost may be included as a part of the fees payable at the beginning
of the year.

12. Respect for Property


12.1. Students are expected to make use of academic, co-curricular and extracurricular facilities
available to the optimum levels. This will certainly make them physically fit, academically
competent, mentally alert and socially sensitive.
12.2. Students are expected to treat school property with care and respect. This includes: school
grounds, buildings, all equipment and textbooks, other resources, lockers, transportation
vehicles, and other possessions.
12.3. Access to academic buildings beyond the school timings and on holidays without written
permission from the concerned Program Coordinator will be treated as a case of indiscipline.
12.4. Students must refrain from littering to keep the school premises and surroundings clean.
12.5. Students must refrain from activities such as scribbling or noting on walls, doors or furniture
which could deface and destroy the academic ambience.
12.6. Students must carefully handle furniture, equipment, fixtures and appliances of the school and

lab. Careless handling / misuse of the above could result in personal injuries or damage to
property.
12.7. Students must follow safety precautions at all times. In the event of damage of property, of
the School, students responsible for such damage will have to bear the cost of replacement /
repair with fine. The school reserves the right to be compensated by the Parent for any such
damages.
12.8. Any damage to the school property should be reported to the Program Coordinator / Campus
Admin immediately.

13. Examination and Assessment Rules


13.1. All students of the School have to be present for all assessments throughout the academic
year.
13.2. In case of an emergency, leave of absence may be given on a case to case basis only. It has to
be intimated in writing to the Coordinator & Head of School and accompanied with a valid
supporting document if any.
13.3. Missed assessments without prior permissions will not be administered again. The student will
be marked as absent and grading will be calculated accordingly. The same will be marked on
the report card as well.
13.4. During internal examinations the rules given by the examination committee will be applicable
in all instances.
13.5. Those registering for the External Board Exam must pay the examination fee on or before the
due date notified by the school.
13.6. In case of late payment, the late payment fee as per the published rules will be payable by the
parent.
13.7. After the lapse of the due date for payment of examination fees at the School, the student may
not be registered for the exam. The school shall not be held liable for the same.

Academic Dishonesty / Plagiarism


13.8. All students are governed by the Academic Honesty policy of the School.
13.9. Academic dishonesty, through cheating, copying, plagiarizing, forgery (faking a signature of a
teacher or parent) altering records, or assisting another in such actions is not tolerated.
13.10. Such actions will be dealt with severe punitive actions which may include dismissal, reporting
to examination board, not uploading student work towards course requirement.

14. Mobile and Digital Technology


14.1. All Students are governed by the digital citizenship contract. Any breach of the contract will
lead to severe consequence.
14.2. All the students are advised to follow the School Mobile phone policy and bring to the notice
of the authorities violations if any.

14.3. Students are not permitted to carry mobile phones inside the school premises. In case a
student has to carry a phone for extraneous reasons, arrangements will be made to deposit
the phone at the school office during school hours.
14.4. Students are not permitted to bring valuable electronic devices (Ipods, cameras, tablets etc)
without the prior permission of the Program Coordinator / Head of School.
14.5. Electronic devices such as, but not restricted to, cell phones, pagers, digital cameras, and video
devices are not to be used during class time and/or scheduled school activities. These devices
must be turned off during all school-related activities.
14.6. Audio electronic playing devices may be allowed in the classroom with staff permission if
required for a class task but are prohibited during tests and exams.
14.7. Cell phones will not be used as a calculator.
14.8. Strict action will be taken, if it comes to the notice of the school authorities that any student is
involved in possession and circulation of inappropriate digital content on mobile devices.
14.9. Students will not indulge in inappropriate use of the school computers or networks.
14.10. Accessing Social Networking Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram etc. is
prohibited within the school campus.

15. Transport
15.1. Transportation consent form needs to be submitted by each student whether or not
transportation is required.
15.2. Forms will be maintained by the Homeroom Teachers. Everyone including the designated pick-
up person mentioned in the form has to carry the student’s ID card along with his ID photo
proof and produce it during pick-up.
15.3. In case of an emergency and change in pick-up person, parent has to send a note on Edmodo
and via email to the Campus Admin giving complete details of the pick-up person’s name,
reason for change in pick-up, mobile number and photo id.
15.4. Students must remain seated in the bus/van till the arrival at their destination.
15.5. Strict discipline must be maintained in the school bus/van. Misbehavior in the bus/van can lead
to withdrawal of bus facilities for the student.
15.6. Any change in residential address or contact numbers must be immediately intimated to the
school office
15.7. Changes in bus routes or problems relating to bus services should be informed to the school
office in writing to the Campus Admin.
15.8. Students should not change the boarding or dropping off stop without prior information being
given to the school office.
15.9. School will not be responsible for any personal transport arrangements used by students. The
safety and verification of such vehicles and drivers are the responsibility of the parents /
guardians of the ward.
15.10. All students are to abide by the regulations established by the school for conduct on school

buses / vans during school field trips.

16. Emergency:
16.1. In case of any emergency, the School will intimate in every possible way to the parents /
guardians. The students will be dispersed with utmost safety.

17. Responses for Violations of Behavior and Discipline Policies:


The professional staff at a school has the responsibility for taking appropriate actions when a student
is involved in a situation which disrupts the learning environment of a school. When determining the
consequences, they take the following into consideration:
17.1. The age-appropriateness of the response and consequence
17.2. The severity of the incident
17.3. A student’s previous record of violations and / or responses for the same or a related offense
17.4. If the offense interfered with the responsibility/rights/privileges/property of others
17.5. If the offense posed a threat to the health or safety of others
17.6. The logical relationship between the offense and the response

18. Possible consequences


18.1. Detention
18.1.1. The confinement of the student after the normal working hours but not exceeding the
Campus Admin dispersal time.
18.2. Suspension
18.2.1. The denial of a student’s right to attend regular classes or school for a specified period
of time for cause. Suspension includes extended suspension, in school suspension,
short-term suspension, or long-term suspension.
18.2.2. In-School Suspension
18.2.2.1. The removal of a student within the school building from the student’s current
education program to another location within the school building for up to but not
more than 3 school days in a school year for disciplinary reasons as determined by the
HOS.
18.2.3. Short-Term Suspension
18.2.3.1. The removal of a student from school for up to but not more than 4 school days
for disciplinary reasons as determined by the HOS.
18.2.4. Long-Term Suspension
18.2.4.1. The removal of a student from school for 5–10 school days for disciplinary reasons
as determined by the HOS.

18.3. Dismissal
18.3.1. The permanent removal of a student from School for disciplinary reasons as determined
by the School Leadership Team and the School Board.

19. Code of Conduct


19.1. Disciplinary Committee:
19.1.1. The school disciplinary committee will address all student behavioural issues.
19.1.2. Any problem brought up to the committee will be dealt with after a fair hearing.
19.1.3. If there is reasonable cause the matter will be raised up to the Steering Committee of
the School and appropriate action will be determined.
