XPLUG

TEMPORARY BLOCKING SYSTEM

PRODUCT OVERVIEW XPLUG is compatible with sodium chloride, ammonium chloride

brines and seawater at bottomhole temperatures up to 200°F.
XPLUG is comprised of a low-residue cellulose-type polymer
system, which utilizes a pH-controlled crosslinking mechanism. It XPLUG INGREDIENTS PER 1000 GALLONS

zones while greatly simplifying the operation and saving rig time.

Factors considered most important in designing a temporary

blocking agent include the following:

»» Type of formation
»» Type of openings to be blocked
»» Temperature
»» Pressure
»» Local experience and, when applicable, type of completion
By adjusting the buffer system and polymer concentration, it is
possible to meet varying well conditions and allow the gelled fluid
to develop viscosity properties nearing those of an elastic solid.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

»» Efficient and effective temporary blocking system
»» Flexible design to meet varying well conditions
»» Compatible with sodium and ammonium chloride brines and
seawater
»» Does not require special mix and pump equipment
»» Does not require support of DHTs to be deployed
»» Saves rig time and costs
