Remainder Theorem
Remainder Theorem
Remainder Theorem
(1st Quarter)
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the period the students will be able to:
a) Define remainder theorem.
b) Solve for the remainder of a given polynomial divided by a binomial.
c) Apply the topic in real life setting.
III. PROCEDURE
A. REVIEW
- Follow up questions/clarifications about the previous topic
- Ask what they have learned in the previous lesson.
B. MOTIVATION
- Introduce the “guess and define the word” game
- Show jumbled letters and let the students guess the word.
- Let them write the correct word on a piece of paper and post it on the board the
define it.
- Let them guess the topic then read the objectives afterwards.
C. ACTIVITITY
- Divide the class into six groups.
- Read first the criteria.
- Each group will follow the given instructions on the activity.
- Teacher will supervise the work of each group and let them post their answer on the
board. (Lets go clap will be the sign that the group is done).
D. ANALYSIS
- Do not break the groupings.
- How did you find the answer?
- How many processes can we use in finding the answer?
- Which of the mentioned processes is easier to use?
- How did you write the final answer? Did u use a format?
E. ABSTRACTION
- Teacher will show videos on how to solve problems involving remainder theorem.
- The give follow up examples.
- Ask the students if they really understand the topic then show more examples if
there are unclear parts of the topic.
- Check the activity after the discussion and give the group scores.
- Appreciate the student’s efforts.
F. APPLICATION
- Relate the topic in real life settings.
IV. EVALUATION
- Answer activity number 6 page 76 numbers 1-5. (Mathematics 10 Learners
Module).
V. ASSIGNMENT
- Answer activity number 6 page 76 numbers 6-10. (Mathematics 10 Learners
Module).
(End of class.)
