    This experiment aimed to determine the percentage of copper present in a supplied copper sulfate solution using iodometric titration. Sodium thiosulfate solution was used as the titrant and iodine was liberated in the reaction with copper. By calculating the amount of thiosulfate needed to react with the liberated iodine, the amount of copper in the original solution was determined. The percentage of copper found was 0.25%, which was close to the known value, indicating the method worked well with only minor sources of error.
