IBU Foundation (IBU) is a non-profit organization established when

a group of volunteers responded Aceh & Nias earthquake and
tsunami disaster on December 26th, 2004. By the middle of 2005,
IBU registered as a legal Non-Government Organisation became a
foundation that performed humanitarian and development programs
in Indonesia. By the end of 2011, IBU registered legally as Yayasan
Indonesia Bhadra Utama and publicly known as IBU Foundation.

Considering the current situation of Indonesia and the RPJMN 2020

- 2024, IBU defines the organizational’ strategies with the targeted
population on developing the program for mothers, children and youth
both in humanitarian and development context. In a humanitarian
context, IBU has thematic issues for emergency response programs
that focused on health (including medical services & nutrition) and
protection (including comprehensive mental health and psychosocial
support) called Rumah Kencana. IBU has other thematic issues that
could be combined on development context, i.e. WASH (including
water supply, sanitation & hygiene promotion), Livelihood, and
Education by mainstreaming the cross-cutting issues such as Gender-
Based Violence (GBV), Protection against Sexual Exploitation Abuse
(PSEA), Child Protection, Climate Change Adaptation, and Disaster
Risk Reduction. On delivering the project, IBU shows interest in
developing the partnership with community, CSO, government and
international organizations.
