OCT 5th La Crescent- 1 Because October 5th was one of the first classes to go
Hokah Public fully online most of this hour was dedicated to
Schools making sure everything was working good and
Via Zoom students were able to access the information they
needed.
There was also an informal assessment taken of the
students about what they remember from previous
years.
OCT 6th La Crescent- 1 This class I focused more on the students and who
Hokah Public they are. I observed what activities they are doing,
Schools who is in the room with them, and how they are
Via Zoom communicating with one another.

OCT 12th La Crescent- 1 On October 12th they tried a new type of software
Hokah Public called pear dock where students were all able to
Schools interact with their own slides to try and engage them
Via Zoom more.

OCT 13th La Crescent- 1 Pangea was the main topic of October 13th. Another
Hokah Public software, Gizmos was used. This allowed students to
Schools drag and spin the continents in order to find how they
Via Zoom fit together and make their best guesses of how
Pangea looked based on boundaries and fossils.
OCT 22nd La Crescent- 1 This day was focused on critical thinking while
Hokah Public reading an article. They were then sent into breakout
Schools rooms and were told to read the article. The
Via Zoom following day they discussed whether or not the
article was a good resource.
OCT 29th La Crescent- 1 This class was the first one I observed where there
Hokah Public were students in the classroom and online. Mr.
Schools Lehrke was supposed to manage the kids in the
Via Zoom classroom while teaching the zoom online.

NOV 2nd La Crescent- 1 Students are going through the google slides that
Hokah Public were assigned for this section. There are students in
Schools person and online again. This creates a struggle for
Via Zoom letting students in and also managing the students in
class because you can’t turn your back on them for
more than a couple seconds because they are all very
hungry for human attention.
NOV 5th La Crescent- 1 This class period we played a review game on
Hokah Public joinmyquiz.com. This was a great resource because
Schools students were given multiple chances to answer
Via Zoom questions and also had little powers to boost points
making it more engaging.
NOV 12th La Crescent- 1 This day was devoted to talking about the atmosphere
Hokah Public and pressure. All students are back to being fully
Schools online. Mr. Lehrke also found a way to see if kids are
Via Zoom actually on the Zoom or if they are online.

NOV 16th La Crescent- 1 November 16th was about rain, moisture and water in
Hokah Public the atmosphere. Students are starting to be given
Schools higher expectations because they have gotten into the
Via Zoom rhythm of how this class should work.
