Assignment Lesson Plan(Fall 2020)

Total Marks: 20

-+Instructions:

 Late assignments will not be accepted.

 If the file is corrupt or problematic, it will be marked zero.
 Plagiarism will never be tolerated. Plagiarism occurs when a student uses work
done by someone else as if it was his or her own; however, taking the ideas from
different sources and expressing them in your own words will be encouraged.
 No assignment will be accepted via e-mail.
 The solution file should be in Word document format; the font color should be
preferably black and font size should be 12 Times New Roman.

Activity 1: Format of Lesson Planning

 You will prepare three sample lesson plans from the selected subjects.
 1 lesson plan from each subject mentioned in your school selection form.
 If Lesson plan don’t match with your SSF. Your Assignment will NOT be accepted.

Sr. No Grade/Class S u b j e c t T o p i c
1 10 t h -------- p h y s i c s Geometrical Optics & Simple Microscop e

2 9 t h ---------- chemistry A c i d , B a s e a n d P H
3 8th------- s c i e n c e A tomic number and mass numbe r

 You can select any topic from the subjects already mentioned in School Selection Form
for teaching practice. After the approval of your sample lesson plan, you will follow the
same for your later lessons.

Lesson plan should be activity based for students so that they can directly participate in the
process of learning and construct learning from their own experiences.
Here are the elements of a lesson plan; you may please prepare your lesson accordingly.

LESSON PLAN NO 4

1. Subject PHYSICS
2. Grade level/ Class 10th
3. Text Book Punjab Text Book
4. Topic & Sub Topic Geometrical Optics & Simple Microscope
5. Time duration40 Minutes
6. General ObjectivesTo Understand what is meant by Geometric Optics and use of
properties of light in daily life and in science and Technology
7. Specific/Instructional Objectives (Observe how image can be enlarged by using a
biconvex lens while placing the object inside the focal length)
8. Resources/Materials A.V aids (Led Used With Laptop To Illustrate This Concept By
Using PHET Simulation And Learn Engineering Simulated Videos To Observe how
actually a lens works by simulation named as Geometrical Optics and Bending of
light)
9. Procedure
a. Introduction Simple microscope is basically a biconvex lens used to magnify
image by placing the object inside the focal point of lens. This make a
magnified erect and virtual image which makes easier to see small objects
easier.
Simple microscope is a photograph enlarger by using a bi convex lens. This
principle is used in multimedia projector, compound microscope, telescope
and glasses.

b. Teaching Procedures (Lecture method along with audio visual aids and simple
activities that students can do in classroom)
c. Student Participation (What happens when you see an object by using a lens?
How doctors suggest different glasses for eye patient to help to see clear )
d. Formative check (have ever you seen or used a lens? You counter light
refraction many time in a day? Have you seen a rainbow? It is due to
refraction of light as lens does.
e. Closure/summarizing (During the presentation students are exposed to many
daily life examples. So they can observe and think about simple microscope
and their function. How lens helps us in human eye to see around us.

10. Assignment or Homework (Observe and reason how we can see things with simple
microscope which cannot be observed by naked eye. Practice the concept diagram
of simple microscope and learn how this concept is helpful for designing compound
microscope.)
11. Assessment of Student Learning (Define optics, make a difference between convex and
concave lens, define real and virtual image, define real and virtual objects)

LESSON PLAN CHEMISTRY GRADE 9TH

1. Subject CHEMISTRY
2. Grade level/ Class 9TH
3. Text Book Punjab Text Book
4. Topic & Sub Topic ACID,BASES & PH
5. Time duration40 Minutes
6. General ObjectivesTo Understand concepts and definitions of acid and bases
proposed by different chemists from beginning to present
7. Specific/Instructional Objectives (Observe how different acid and bases are useful in
daily life usage different chemical compounds obtained from natural resources or
artificially prepared )
8. Resources/Materials A.V aids (Led Used With Laptop To Illustrate This Concept By
Using PHET Simulation And Learn Engineering Simulated Videos To Observe
What is impotence of knowing about PH)
9. Procedure
a. Introduction Acid and bases are defined in the form of tendency to gain or
lose an electron. An acid is proton donor while a base is proton acceptors.
Acids are sour to taste while bases are bitter in taste.
b. Teaching Procedures (Lecture method along with audio visual aids and simple
activities that students can do in classroom)
c. Student Participation (Do you feels pleasant while you place a soap piece on
your tongue? What happens if Sulphuric acid touches your skin?

What happens when you taste lemon?

Why water is not dangerous due to its excessive use?)

d. Formative check (how you will define PH? Why some solutions are dangerous
and many are not)
e. Closure/summarizing (During the presentation students are exposed to many
daily life examples. So they can find acid and bases in daily life and can
mention strong acid and weak acids similarly strong and weak bases)

10. Assignment or Homework (find 5 acid and 5 bases in your home, market which are
used in daily life)
11. Assessment of Student Learning (Define PH according to different concepts given by
chemists)

LESSON PLAN CLASS 8th

1. Subject : Science
2. Grade level/ Class 8th
3. Text Book: Punjab Text board
4. Topic & Sub Topic : Atomic Number and Mass Number
5. Time duration: 40min
6. General Objectives
After reading this topic students willable to
How to write atomic number and Mas Number on atom.
Where are the fundamental particles present in an atom.

7. Specific/Instructional Objectives (Use Measureable verbs to state specific objectives e.g.

See Bloom’s Taxonomy)
Example: Students will be able to:
1. Define Atomic number and mass number
2. Differentiate between atomic number and mass number
3. Enlist few examples of both atomic number and mass number of some
elements

8. Resources/Materials A.V aids (white board , board marker, chart containg structure of
atoms, few cards for activity)
9. Procedure: I will use the lecture method with activity, first i will define atomic number
and mass number as

Atomic Number: It is number of protons present in nucleus of an atom, it is represnted by 'Z'.

Mass number: It is sum of no of protons and neutrons and represnted by 'A'

a. Introduction (Dirst i will ask the question to students tha what are fundamental
particle of atoms because they have read it in 8th class)
b. Teaching Procedures ( lecture method +, activity method, )
c. Student Participation (By asking question to students )
d. Formative check : By asking question to students
e. Closure/summarizing : I will ask the questions to stusents and also help them in
order to give correct answer

10. Assignment or Homework ( write down the first eighteen elements and write the no
fundamental particles)
11. Assessment of Student Learning (I have already made some cards containg the symbol of
elements with atomic number and mass number ask the students to calculate no of
protons, electron and neutrons.
