Name of activity: NUTRITION MONTH

I. RATIONALE
Nutrition Month is celebrated every month of July, and is promoted by the
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Nutrition Month focuses on helping students to
make correct food choices as well as developing good eating and exercising habits.

II. OBJECTIVES
The event aims to:
1.) Help the students become aware of the importance of good nutrition and a healthy
eating plan.
2.) Give importance to the micronutrients needed for the body.

III. LOCATION OF THE PROGRAM

The event was held in the Covered Court of Holy Name University..

IV. BACKGROUND OF THE ACTIVITY


CHS Nutrition Month was held last July 30, 2019 at the HNU Covered Court with the
theme “Kumain ng Wasto at Maging Aktibo.. Push Natin To!”. .The program started with
a welcome address by Mr. Tyrone Hora. Each sections were able to prepare food of
substantial nutritional value. In the course of the said event, the sections had the
freedom to prepare ahead of time on the day of the culmination (Vacant or Lunch
Break) for them to exhibit the dormant wonders of each vitamin, minerals, and nutrient
present in food concretely manifested on their display. There were other competitions
like Quizbowl and Shake, Battle, and Chill which were participated by different sections
in the CHS Department. During the competitions, the judges had started to roam around
the different booths prepared by the sections to be judged and then followed by the
beverages or shakes that had been prepared by the contestants. After the competition,
The student had started their feast on the foods that they had prepared.
To give the awards, we have our very own Governer, Mr Vincent Jay Eronico. The
winner for the Nutrifest was the Section BSN I-D

The budget for the event was 5,000 pesos which was taken from the CHS LGU budget.

The event was through the efforts of the CHS LGU officers.

Name of Activity: CHS Sportsfest 2019

IX. RATIONALE
Sportsfest is an opportunity for students to compete against their schoolmate in various
sports and pageantry. It is open to all students. The purpose of the program is to
provide fun, safe and structured play experiences that promote the physical, mental and
social development of every student.

X. OBJECTIVES

The event aims to:


1. Develop and share among members and others education, information, and
leadership skills.
2. Encourage members to promote the active participation by all youth in fun and
healthy physical activities according to their interests and abilities.
XI. LOCATION OF THE PROGRAM

The CHS Sporstfest 2019 was held at the Barder Gym

XII. BACKGROUND OF THE ACTIVITY

The CHS Sportsfest 2019 was conducted last August 17, 2019 at the HNU Barder
Gym The program focused more on the Pageantry which was to call the winners for our
department and for them to represent for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals and tryouts were
held after the program. So the program started with a Zumba exercise. It was
participated by the whole CHS department including the faculty staff. After the Zumba,
the students took a break and the games were held while the participants for the
pageant prepared themselves for the production number. The program proper started
around 9:05 in the morning. Wherein the torch was being lit and a warm welcome
address from our very own Dean in the College of Health Sciences Mrs. Ruvih Joy P.
Garrote. The Pageant Started off with the introduction of Judges and followed by the
production number of the contestants after the production number the Red Raiders
took over the dance floor while the Participants changed into their sports attire and
another team building activity was held the give the contestants more time to prepare
themselves. After the given time allowance, The participants had started to show off
their Sports attire and after that another team building was held while the judges score
off their top 5. After the computation, The contestants were called to be given the minor
awards and to announce the top 5. After the top 5 was announced they were prepared
for the Q&A portion of the Pageant. After the Q&A portion, the judges once again
computed their score for the winners, The winners for Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest was Jufrey
Mil Sarmiento and Krista Rica Abayabay. After the Program the Dance sport was held on
the afternoon and the tryouts followed afterward.

The budget for the event was Php 33,000.00 which was taken from the LGU Budget for
the whole academic year.
