II. DESCRIPTION

The Supreme Student Council of Eastern Samar State University - Main Campus is
thrilled to announce the celebration of World Teachers' Day on October 7, 2024, at
Canuctan Hall. This annual event serves as a heartfelt tribute to the dedication and impact
of educators who shape the minds of future generations. Attendees can look forward to an
engaging program that includes inspiring speeches from student leaders, performances that
showcase the talents of our diverse student body, and interactive activities that foster
appreciation for teaching as a vital profession.

In addition to celebrating our teachers, the event aims to create a platform for
students and faculty to come together in unity, reflecting on the pivotal role that educators
play in our lives. This year's theme will encourage dialogue on the challenges and triumphs
faced by teachers, emphasizing the importance of support and recognition. Join us as we
honor our educators, share stories of inspiration, and strengthen the bond between
students and teachers at this meaningful celebration.

III. RATIONALE

World Teachers' Day is a crucial occasion to recognize and appreciate the vital role
educators play in shaping society and inspiring future generations. The celebration at
Eastern Samar State University - Main Campus serves to honor the dedication, hard work,
and passion that teachers invest in their students, acknowledging their contributions to both
individuals and the broader community. This event fosters unity between students and
faculty, promoting mutual respect and collaboration while sharing inspiring stories and
addressing the challenges faced by educators. Ultimately, it aims to cultivate a deeper
understanding of the teaching profession, motivating students to engage actively in their
learning journey and ensuring that teachers feel valued and supported in their essential
roles.

IV. OBJECTIVE/S

1. To honor and acknowledge the dedication and contributions of teachers at


Eastern Samar State University, fostering gratitude and respect within the
community.

2. To create an interactive platform for students and faculty to share experiences and
discuss the challenges faced in the profession, strengthening collaboration.

3. To encourage students to actively engage in their education by highlighting the


transformative power of teaching and the value of learning.

VII. LINKAGES
This activity will solely be conducted by the Supreme Student Council hence no linkages
will be made.

VIII. HEALTH PROTOCOL CLEARANCE


1. All participants shall follow the standard venue entry protocol at the triage
area where body temperature is scanned/checked. Those with fever, and
cough shall not be allowed to attend the activity.
2. Upon entry, participants will pass through a footbath and wear facemask.
Proper social distancing will be maintained.
3. A 50% occupancy of the venue capacity shall be observed.

IX. MONITORING AND EVALUATION


After the conduct of this event, a constant monitoring and evaluation will be
conducted to assess the performance of the participants in terms of appreciation and
collaborative effort during the conduct of the activity. Accomplishment report of activity will
be provided after the conduct of the activity.
