RE : NARRATIVE REPORT IN BUREAU OF FIRE

PROCTECTION (BFP)

The Bureau of Fire Protection is an agency of the Department of the

Interior and Local Government (DILG) responsible for implementing national
policies related to Firefighting and fire prevention as well as implementation of
the Philippine Fire Code (PD 1185), which has been repealed and replaced by the
New Fire Code of the Philippines (RA 9514). Formerly known as the Integrated
National Police Fire Service, the BFP is in charge of the administration and
management of municipal and city fire and emergency services all over the
country.

On-the-Job training is part of a curriculum in college that aims to train and

orient students about the working load for their future career. It is a type of skill
development where a worker learns how to do work through hands on experience.
It also helps the students acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing the
actual work. And now I am undertaking my On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the

dismissal.

On our second day in our On-The-Job Training here at Bureau of Fire

Protection. I arrived at exactly 6:30am, 30 minutes later we proceed in our
formation at exactly 7:00am the marcher reported to the desk officer and waited
to render OJT the desk officer instructed us to clean the fire truck. After our
marcher reported we proceed to the instruction guven by the desk officer to clean
the fire truck. Moments later after cleaning the fire truck is done, our class
marcher calls our attention for the formation for our dismissal at 11:00am

On our third day here rendering On-The-Job Training here in Bureau of

Fire Protection. We planning to have an activity but Fire Officer 1 James Anthony
Acaso he discuss about the Firts Aid kit. I learned about the Star of Life, after the
discussion what we did us we clean the sorroundings and i went to the office
because some of the job orders instructed me that the officer personnel need two
interns so with me is Mr. Capa upon entering the fire calls our attention
immediately to get the journal of the previous batch and instructed us to write the
name of the officer incharge on their journals in each day upon doing our task and
finish it, we went outside back to the lobby and waited for the dismissal.

On my fourth day of On-The-Job Training still we continue the thing that

we've been doing for the past day. Me and my co-interns are just clean the
sorroundings some are studying their lessons. Fire Officer 1 Acaso was still
continued about the First Aid kit on how to do it properly when someone is
getting fractured. Fire Officer 1 Acaso was able to demonstrate us on how to CPR
properly and we do it well. After we demonstrate the procedure of CPR, Mr.
Acaso calls our attention for the

Today is my 9th day rendering On-The-Job Training here at Bais City Fire

Bais City Fire Station. The activity was compossed of hose rolling, responding to
an accident with the proper use of the Spine Board and lastly the different types of
Carrying the Victims or injured ones. The hose rolling was very hard for me aside
from being heavy it's very hard

also to throw or roll it on a straight line. After that activity Fire Officer 1 Saldasal
calls our attention for the dismissal.
Today is our last day in my On -The-Job Training here at Bureau of Fire
Protection I arrived at 6:30 am. This day we celebrate together with my co-interns
because it's the last day og our On-The-Job Training here in BFP, and we do the
boddle fight but before that I prepare the foods. Afterwards the Fire Officers get
the hose to shower us and we become so wet because of the water . After we get
wet We already dismissed and this is unforgetable moments.
I would like to convey my gratefulness to you and your colleagues for the
excellent OJT which I have undergone in your agency. The skills and knowledge
which I have gained throughout my practical training I perceive as very valuable
component in my future career development. As you know this OJT was part of
my educational curricula and therefore I have to thank you for providing me this
opportunity.

I would especially like to thank Fire Officer 1 Saldasal, Fire Officer 1

Acaso, FO2 Jay Antonio Rosel, FO1 Rufilsan Olorvida for their generous support,
coaching and companionship during my OJT. I shared their expertise with me
very generously and I have learned a lot from them. My thanks and appreciation
also to your Job Order Personnel’s for willing to help us and above all to your
good companionship.
Thank you once again for your great support in the successful completion
of my OJT.
