RE: NARRATIVE REPORT ON OUR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING IN
THE PHILLIPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP)

The PNP was formed on January 29, 1991, when the Philippine Constabulary and
the Integrated National Police were merged pursuant to Republic Act 6975 0f 1990. The
Philippine National Police (PNP) National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) or
PNP NCRPO which used to be known as the Philippine Constabulary Metropolitan
Command of PC METROCOM was created by virtue of Executive Order Nr 85 dated
July 5, 1967 as a Special Strike Force of the Police Forces in Metro Manila. The needs
for it arise when an upward trend in crime was noted with the then existing four (4) cities
and thirteen (13) municipalities comprising Metropolitan Manila.

The Philippine National Police (Filipino; Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas and


abbreviated as PNP, Spanish: Policia Nacional Filipina) is the Armed, Civilian National
Police Force of the Philippines. Its National Headquarters is at Camp Crame in Quezon
City, Metro Manila, and it has 170,000 Personnel. Bais City is located on the east coast of
Negros Island, about 45 kilometers north of Dumaguete City Negros Oriental. Its name is
derived from the Visayan word “Ba-is” for brackish-water eel – a fish species native to
the city and one which has become the City’s delicacy. Bais City is one of cleanest and
safest cities of the Philippines in Negros Oriental Province. The main tourist draw is
whale and dolphin watching in the Tanon strait between Bais and the neighboring island
of Cebu.

First day of our On-The-Job Training (OJT) here at Philippine National Police
(PNP) in Bais city. I arrived at around 6:24 o’clock in the morning, so I stay at the park
waiting of our co-intern a few minutes later at around 7:00 o’clock in the morning, we
come inside at the PNP station and proceed to formation and signed in the log book, after
that proceed to our area of responsibility. After that cleaning standby here inside the
station, at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning we experience to dissemble and assemble
the M16 firearm and caliber 45 pistol, after that to returned the firearm we prepare for
dismissal at around 11:00 o’clock in the morning.

It was our Second day in our On-The-Job Training (OJT) here at Philippine
National Police (PNP) in Bais city October 28, 2019. I arrived at around 6:36 o’clock in
the morning, so I wait a 20 minutes in park before to come inside at the PNP station, at
around 7:00 o’clock in the morning. We proceed to formation and the team leader get the
log book at the table inside the station after checking attendance waiting for the
instruction, a few minutes later PEMS. Francisco Lado Vilas Jr. at around 8:00 o’clock in
the morning, he instructed as together with our co-intern cordova after that informative
instruction, we proceed to our area of responsibility so after that cleaning has been done
at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning PO3 Laxina called our attention to form inside
the station for the short question about the 5 pillars, arrest, criminology, phenomenon,
investigation, arrest and warrant of arrest etc. After that we prepare for dismissal at
around 11:00 o’clock in the morning.

On the third day of on-the-job training I arrived at around 6:00 in the morning at
Bais copy police station. After that at around 7:38am we had our formation leaded by our
team leader criminology intern Mr. RUDAS at around 7:58am PMSG Edzilfroy A.
Laxina discussing about the KKDAT (kabataan kontra Druga at terorismo) of what is the
purpose to developed your voluntarism against drug and terrorism this activity or
program are conducted every Wednesday at cultural center until the end of this month. At
around 10:00am we proceed to the PCR office and desk office PCPL Mary Rose N.
Megio called us to enter on PCR office and she asked us some question of the PNP
COMMUNITY of safety awareness. And after our duty at about 11:00am we formed by
our marcher to signing out and to dismissed.

On our fourth day, since I arrived at exactly 7:00am. I saw my co-interns


performed a formation so I ask permission to the platoon leader to enter the platoon so
that I could sign in. After our formation we proceed to our perspective area.After a few
minutes sir Laxina discussed about the PGS which is the performance Governance
System, then he ask if we really understand.After his discussions he told us to study the
topic that he was given us.At exactly 10:00am we we're going to Tanjay City
Headquarters with the two police officer's and my three co-interns because they had a
memorandum to coordinate the Army's.Then after it, we back to Bais City and proceed to
cemetery for the purpose of posting the OPLAN UNDAS,after posting we back to the
police station and prepare for our formation for the disdismissal

On or about the fifth day of our On-the Job Training (OJT) at Philippine National
Police (PNP) Bais City, I arrived at exactly 6:53 am and at around 7:00 am we have
formed leaded by our marcher KM Villanueva for signing in of attendance, afterwards we
go to the investigating room and observed then also we asked some question of them and
also them asked also some question to us then they advise us specially our classmate
who is lack of height, then we go to the office and answer the question about the law
enforcer in the use of our Facebook account, afterwards at exactly 11:00 am our marcher
KM Villanueva call us to form for signing out of attendace and prepare for proper
dismissal.

On the six day of our on-the-job training i arrived way to Bais at exactly 6:00am
and when i was already in Bais I walked way to Rizal Park with my buddies. After that at
around 7:38am we were called by our leader criminology intern Mr. RUDAS to have a
formation. At 8:00am PEMS Francisco L. VILLAS JR give us some instruction for us to
be guided on our daily duties. 8:10am i was assigned In front of the MLhuiller with the
other criminology interns Tajada, Cabusog, Ebidsa and Toroy we were assigned to guide
those citizens to cross along the pedestrian. And it's already 10:48am we go back to the
police station together with the other interns, were just sitting on the bench while waiting
with the other interns. And when were complete it's already 11:00am leaded by marcher
RUDAS were called to have a formation for the attendance for us to be Dismissed.

On our seventh day, Police Officer Tanutan head of the checkpoint asked us to go
with them to conduct a checkpoint in Talungon together with Mr. Saga, Mr. Villanueva
and Mr. Toroy we are excited, because its our first time to conduct a checkpoint
personally. After that we went back to the station and joined the squad in formation for
the dismissal.

8th day rendering ojt here at PNP station Bais City, I arrived in station at 6:30AM
and we proceeded to our formation at exactly 7:00AM. After singning-in onto our
respective logbook we directly proceed to the investigation office together with my co-
interns Mr. Saga, Mr. Arabis, Mr. Suello and Mr. Balsomo. We just sitting there while
reading some documents. And then time approaches we proceed to our formation and
dismissed at exactly 11:00AM.

On the 9th day of On-The-Job-Training at the Bais Police Station, I arrived at


around 6:50 in the morning. We observe some traffic because they conducted
checkpoints. and since it’s already 11:00 our Class Marcher led us into formation and
gave some important matters then signed out for our attendance and he dismissed.
On my last of my duty at the PNP station, we have the same routine every
morning. one of the officer Sir Contratista tod us that we just wait for the instruction.
PCPL Megio said that we just need to fill up the survey planning at bais station, then after
we just go at the (WCPD) Office Womens Children Personnel Disk, then one of the
officer PCPL Mary Shanne B. Esona was give an advice and instruct for the violation of
the accusation, especially in womens side, then he said that fight of your dreams then
never give up, I was amaze on her personality because she is very approachable and
beautiful officer at the station. after a few minutes team leader Villanieva form his Co
intern for the dismissal but before that we take a picture for the documentation together
PLTCOL Yanguas, and officer Contratista then after we are signing the attendance for
the dismissal.

As a criminology intern in the Philippine National Police. I would like to extend


my deepest gratitude to the PNP personnel's fpr the experience and learning I have
possessed. It helped me developed a sense of logical thinking that in a short period of
time, I was amezed by the knowledge I acquired. This would remain in my mind and
heart the experience we had, that we could also use in the near future in our choosen
carriers.

Thank you once again for your great support in the successful completion of my
OJT.
