PRELIMINARIES

On-the-Job Training is one of the most general methods for enhancing individual
productivity and for improving job performance in the work environment. On-the-Job
Training is part of the curriculum that targets to teach or train and introduce the
students about work and their future career. OJT is very important to the students
because it will show them the reality about working condition and there so many things
that would be added to their learning.

When a student is undergoing an internship or OJT, there would be a chance

that the trainee may absorb or offered a job after graduation. OJT should not be taken
for granted because; it will bring the trainee or their future career.

The College of Information Technology program incorporates OJT in the

curriculum. Students were deployed in different companies to render their OJT which

INSIGHTS
In the entire training period of the intern in National Irrigation Administration,
The trainee learned a lot in just 224 hours of On the Job Training but she noticed that
there are still other things to improve one of it is her verbal communication.

Nervousness and shyness are always when it’s first time. For many reason, and a
lot of stuff playing on her mind. Such she do not know the people in the office, and she
do not have any actual experience. Every day is a challenge for her to stand out. But
she always have a winning attitude through the guidance of the Lord, and always tell
herself, She gonna win this.

The trainee learned a lot of things during her OJT. She was not only exposed to
actual office environment but she also realized what she really want even before the
time she graduated. What career she would want to have. She was able to learned how
to accept small or big mistakes. In this practicum, She learned how to face the real
world and talked to different people. In her first day as a intern, she thought she was
not able to do well but as time past by she know she gained more self-confidence and
self-esteem. She learned also how important the time management in this practicum.
