    PRESENT SIMPLE

    Another example:
    The use of present simple: (+) I play the piano.
    1. To state something that is true in (-) I do not play the piano.
    the present. Example: (?) Do I play the piano?
     I’m fifteen years old.
     I’m a student. (+) Jack plays football.

     He lives in Bandung. (-) Jack does not play football.

    2. To state something that happens (?) Does Jack play football??

    regularly in the present. Example:


    WH Questions:

    3. To state general truth/ fact.
     What do I do?

    The use of present continuous: (-)They are not coming to your
    party.
     To state future plans. Example: (?) Are they coming to your party?
    a) Mary is going to a new school next
    semester.
     To state activities at the moment of
    speaking. Example:
    a) I’m studying.
    b) I’m just leaving work. I will be
    home in an hour.
    c) Please be quiet, the children are sleeping.
