Lesson Plan in Kindergarten 2019-2020
I. Objectives In the end of the lesson the students must be able to do the following; a. Contrast sea animals from farm animals (land animals) b. Recognize and Identify the names of the sea animals c. Effectively perform their given task II. Materials Laptop, Tv, Speakers, Aquarium, Pool, Pictures of sea animals, Manila paper, Fishing rod, III. Procedure A. Introductory work 1. Circle time In order for the students to be prepare for the day they shall sing their “Circle Time Song.” Then the students will pray led by the teacher. They will greet their teacher, visitors (if there any), and classmates “Magandang Umaga mga bata” “Magandang umaga teacher Jack” “Magandang umaga mga panauhin” “Magandang umaga mga kaklase” Welcome to Kinder Donald Duck! 123… 123… quack quack 2. Review of previous lesson The students will review their previous lesson of farm animals by answering a simple quiz online on Quizmake.com titled “Which is the farm animal?” 3. Motivation As the motivation the kids will be singing the song “Tong Tong Tong Pakitong-kitong (Alphabet song)” “Tong, tong, tong, tong pakitong-kitong Alimango sa dagat malaki at masarap! Kay hirap hulihin sapagkat nangangagat. Tong, tong, tong, tong pakitong-kitong.” 4. Expostion After singing the tong tong tong pakitong-kitong the teacher will ask what animal is being sung in the song. The song is a crab thus the teacher will ask what kind of animal is a crab and where does it live. The teacher will ask what other creatures can be found in the ocean. The pool will be then revealed to the students. Inside the pool there will be sea creatures and a surprise. Inside the pool there are trashes. The teacher will reveal that the sea creatures are having a hard time in the ocean because there are too many trashes in the sea so they will be transferring them to the rehabilitation center. This part is where they will fish for a sea animal and find out what kind of animal it is. For example, one student fishes a squid then as the teacher you’ll explain who this squid is and its purpose in the ecosystem. Afterward the students will be cleaning up the ocean picking up the trashes found in the ocean. B. Discussion Educational Trip – After getting all the sea creatures from the pool they will be then transferring them to the rehabilitation center where they can live better lives. Inside the aquarium each students get to stick or hang their fishes inside the aquarium while singing the tong tong tong pakitong-kitong. The teacher shall put emphasis that each animal that they have met is important in keeping our ocean healthy and to keep our ecosystem in balance. C. Final Task 1. Generalization What are the sea animals we can find in the ocean? What is their purpose in the ocean to us? Are they beneficial? How can we as students take care of them and the ocean? 2. Application GroupWork Group 1: ON, IN, and UNDER – able to use in, on and under properly Group 2: Adding and subtracting – adding and subtracting animals to the group Group 3: Identification – if this animal is from the ocean or from land Group 4: Design your own Aquarium – the kids will be sticking pictures and coloring their aquarium IV.
