I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the 40-minute lesson, the students should be able to:
a. Define the proper hygiene;
b. explain the importance of good personal hygiene; and
c. follow proper procedures in doing the personal hygiene.

Our lesson for today is all about Proper

I have here a mystery box, and later on you


will pick one that you are using in cleaning
that body part.

Let us begin with our hair. What do we use to


keep our hair clean and tangled free? All: Yes, teacher

First we have here a shampoo, do you use


your shampoo?

Kids, the shampoo makes your hair clean and


the brush and the comb will keep your hair

Next is the teeth, what do we use for our

Of course we don’t use the pencil or not some


other kind of things, but we use toothbrush
and toothpaste, but kids remember, just a
little amount of toothpaste, during the early
times, when they don’t have toothpaste they
just use salt or a stem of a guava tree, you
know that so we are blessed nowadays that
we have toothpaste but always remember that
we should just use a little amount of it.

Okay next we have the ears. What do we use


to clean our ears? All: Yes, teacher

Don’t use your pencil and don’t put it here in


your ears, you use the cotton buds, but please
children don’t push it so hard, just the outside

(DOH), we should always keep our hands
clean by washing it thoroughly with clean
water and soap, you may use singing of happy

you touch something you wash your hands or
you may put alcohol if you have, you use your
towel to pat it dry.

Now let’s have the next one, our nails. Let me

By using nail cutter, not scissors or not knife,


but nail cutter and ask help from your mom or
anyone who is bigger than you and don’t bite
your nails children, because there are dirts in
the nails that might go inside your stomach
might make you sick, so you will use nail
cutter for your finger nails.

Class, I have a friend named Mary Christmas
Aguinaldo, she doesn’t know the proper
hygiene kit, so let us help her by identifying
the parts of the body in column A and connect
it to column B that shows the things that
keeping our body clean. After matching, you
will pick the hygiene kit in the table and you
will paste it to Mary Christmas’ body parts.

f. Values Integration

Keep in mind that personal hygiene is very


important in our life because it is also a symbol
of one's dignity and confidence.

IV. EVALUATION:
Encircle the material needed in keeping the certain body part clean.

V. ASSIGNMENT:
Cut three pictures that used in cleaning the body. Put it in your assignment notebook.
