A smile can hide a thousand feelings!

Yamson, Miller, Jr. has that carefree and joyful vibes. Little do you know, he has faced difficulties
and obstacles in his lifetime. But that does not keep him from emitting a friendly and approachable
aura.
He was only two years old when his mother and father parted ways and was raised by the gentle
hands of his grandmother and grandfather. Throughout the years, he became stronger and more
independent and finished his primary and secondary studies at his birthplace, Socorro, Surigao del
Norte. Having rare talent and skills in art, specifically in cartooning which he utilized to qualify in the
aspect of Journalism during his high school years, he grabbed awards in Division Schools Press
Conference several times giving him the opportunity of visiting different places and keeping fun
memories in his own treasure box. However, Mr. Yamson wasn’t able to qualify for the National Level.
In his college days, he made paintings with the use of his skills in artistry and earned money out
of it. Considering such skills as a source of his income used as a helping tool for his college studies. He
also experienced exerting strenuous effort and endeavor such as laboring and grabbing various
profitable activities in order to earn more income thus saving much. He continued to develop his
knowledge, studied well on his taken course; Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. Finished
college and focused on reviewing for the Licensure Examination for Teacher. With the guidance of our
Almighty God he successfully passed the examination, created a self-qualification of being a professional
teacher in the society.
He was hired and was identified as regular permanent teacher in the north east side of Siargao,
Munipality of Burgos. And now, in his assigned school, he became a school paper adviser.
As a person who came from a broken family, to amateur artist and a half-time laborer, you can
tell that he had hid a thousand feelings behind that bright smile. Nevertheless, he gave a silent hope and
courage to people with little trust and confidence on themselves. Also lifting himself with the same hope
and courage that he had given to others as he continue his dreams.

GOAL
By: Precious Paulene Nogaliza

Know your role and strive for your goal

Never let fear eat you all

Don't let yourself sink in despair, don't let your spark disappear

Don't forget the countless blessings that He showered, find thy purpose and not be a coward

Why are you afraid in the dark when there are billion star above

Why are you afraid in problems when God is bigger than any storms

Everything happens for a reason and there is always answer for that reason

You are more than yourself so repel your negativity with positivity, live life in reality and grab every

Celebration to promote national language

ociety nowadays is puzzled with huge intricate perplexity of having human discreteness popularly known as
bullying. An injurious conduct inflicting harm without due provocation, victims are affected physically and
emotionally
In which many people suffer more from extravagance leading them into a self-destructive activities that
nobody could imagine it will happen. Young people have been damaged for life and some have taken their own lives
as the direct result of having been bullied by their peers.
We have noticed the increasing number of cases, the amount of bullying happens in school and online are
very alarming,
A national organization that has helped to lead the charge in anti-bullying campaigns,
NoBullying.com,reported that at least 50 percent of teens have been bullied online, according to the iSafe
Foundation.
According to the organization about ten to twenty percent of those teens are bullied on a regular basis per the
Cyberbullying Research Center.
Student surveys consistently indicate young people realize bullying is a problem in schools and online.
Though high school, middle school and elementary school students say bullying is a problem and agree that it is
wrong to bully another student, it still happens, and it happens way too often. Parents must shoulder a lot of the
responsibilities.
Teachers address the problem of bullying, sometimes on a daily basis.

School counselors must spend an inordinate amount of time addressing the problem. Mental health-care workers,
social services and even law enforcement, sadly, must battle with the fallout. Like most things, the real solutions
must begin in the home.
Violent homes produce children with violent tendencies.
Children mimic the behavior of their parents — plain, pure and simple.
Seeing adults act out at high school sporting events, or even at a little league game, for example, sends a strong
message and sets a bad example for children.
When children have parents and role models who act respectfully and treat others with respect they tend to,
in turn, show respect to others.
All young people need to be taught to treat others with respect and dignity.
They will learn those lessons in the classroom, at church or through anti-bullying programs, but they must
first learn those lessons in the home.

ignity, bravery and concern. Four words, four personalities that a journalist must have
. Dignity; a journalist that has dignity will deteriorate the mind of the people by writing
fake news. A journalist must always prioritize that his news article has contained facts
based on what he saw and heard. Dignity contains truth.
A journalist must have confidence that every article that he writes will not change
the mindset of the people reading his article.
A journalist must avoid biased thoughts towards a person or individual. A
journalist writes fairly the truth based on facts not base on his opinion, because a
journalist writes to express not to impress the people by writing an untruthful article.
Respect; a personality that is very important in every point of views in life. You
are not a journalist if you are writing to impress your reader by invading the privacy of a
person. Everybody should have respect towards their fellowmen, whether you are in
the high position in society, or you are one of the commoner people. As journalist
we must know and respect confidentiality of every individual in the society.

Bravery; seven letters, one word, three syllables yet very hard to maintain. A
brave journalist is not afraid to speak out the truth. Whether it can ruin an individuals
reputation, when it is factual don’t hesitate, don’t be afraid, be brave to stand for the
truth because we are not journalist for nothing. You can’t call yourself a journalist if you
can’t speak the truth. A journalist rather lose their job or their passion in speaking for the
truth than to maintain your job, your salary in exchange for your dignity as a person and
as a journalist.
Concern; a best journalist thinks this way. A journalist must always have this
mindset. ”Help first, news after ”. If you are in a car accident, seek help first than to ask
an dying person about the details of the crash. Don’t let your job eat your care for your
fellowmen. Choose to help a dying person first than to choose to ask for the details for
you to have the credits of having the latest news. Journalism has a thing for heroism.
You are not a journalist if you don’t show concern towards people. We must prioritize
the situation of a dying person than to get ourselves a reward for having latest news.

himself that he is a hero. Those four things, “dignity, bravery, concern, respect are

HELP ME BRING BACK THE BEAT

By: Cielo Paulines

This is not the place I wished to live in

I want to go back to the time where everything's alright
I can't feel it anymore, the silence of my earth seems forever. I miss the birds that sing me to sleep, the trees that shadows when everyone had turned there backs on me,
the air that slowly whispers in my ears in wincey voices.
Help me bring back the beat of the earth its the only home we've got, nothing feels better than loving earth. Me and you and the nature are all that matters. Help me
bring back the beat.
Even the tinniest both non living and living creatures longed for love
Wealth is not money, wealth is beaneath the earth
We the youths are the catalyst. We are the sunsinhe of the doomed present we are the moon that guides all being. We are the stars that brights when the sun sets.
Hold my my hand, I can't do this alone. We both need each other.
Be with me, to preserve what's left for us to revive
Believe in our harmony coz it pulses back the heart of our earth.

Eagerness; curiousness, happiness and therefore distress.

Meeting and founding people who will teach us lesson;
Founding someone who gives us inspiration, and finally learning a lesson.
Teach us to love; learning to love; therefore having heartbreak in return.
A feeling of eagerness; which leads to curiousness; resulting in happiness and undergoing distress.
Struggling to go on; and striving to move on. A short time happiness for a long time distress and bitterness.

A girl who only wants to love and be loved; now wounded at heart with permanent scar.

Disappointed with her own expectations;

Expectations that love is magical, little did she know magic is all illusions

What Must A
Journalist Has?
By: Karlette O. Vasquez

D
Life is full of obstacles , challenges and hindrances. Yet life is magical , colorful and happiness. All
we need to do is to be in the right path. Many people enjoy their lives shopping, playing, and doing the
leisure of life. On the other hand life for poor individuals is a big mistake; they regretted being born
because all they do from the time they were born was to suffer. Truth is you can enjoy life even
though you are poor.

Life doesn’t need wealth to be colorful and joyful. We must be thankful for what we have and
what we don’t . Money, I mean the love for money can cause harm. Greed which is inevita ble is one of
the causes why people become dangerous. The dream for a much wealthy life will not cause any good.
Be contented for what we have. We have a family, friends and schoolmates to make us happy. Most
importantly God is always there to give us love that we need. I am alarmed to the suicidal rate in the
world. A lot of teenagers choose to take away their own lives to get rid of their problems. I believe
those people only need love.

Life is a great way of enjoying. Many activities are there for us to have a good life. Don’t let
your happiness depend on money . Let it be on the people who love and care for you dearly.

We practice the value of respect for human dignity by showing our care and commitment to
promoting and protecting the dignity of all person , the country and the nature.
Core values are the fundamental beliefs of a person organization. These guiding principles
dictate behavior and can help people understand the difference between right and wrong. Core values
also help companies to determine if they are on the right path and fulfilling their goals by creating an
unwavering guide. We must respect one another. We need to be kind to our fellow human beings. We
must pray and we must thank God for all that He has given, that He guides us and gives us our daily
needs. We need to take care and appreciate our nature because it is a gift from our God. It is important
to know how to segregate garbage or to put garbage in the proper container. We should not throw
garbage anywhere because it can contaminate and damage our nature.
We need to know how to respect the nation as long as the flag is unobtrusive and we should
sing because it is our country's biggest esteem distinction.

Websites, Social media, Online games. These are but few distractions for students nowadays.
Although diversions are everywhere there are still some students that have been doing their best
in school and continuously achieving and setting goals. Let me name some students in Burgos national
High School.
Firstly, meet Diana M. Quijano a second-year senior high school. She had won school contests and
is pressingly maintaining her rank in top 10. You can tell that she is a loyal local for she finished her
primary studies in her town’s elementary school. Ever since then, she always topped the rankings and
earn high marks. She also held several recognitions in Division Schools Press conference as a Filipino

distress and bitterness.
A girl who only wants to love and be loved; now wounded at heart with permanent scar.
Disappointed with her own expectations;
Expectations that love is magical, little did she know magic is all illusions.

I have liked you like an integer
Never minding the decimal number
Cause my feelings would never be negative and it will always positive.
I will multiply it so we can be happy
And that makes me feel so lucky.
Just please don’t subtract it or do the division.
Because it can give my heart a confusion.
I don’t want our relationship to be parallel line ‘coz we can’t meet each and I’m feeling someone is in
between our lines.

the causes why people become dangerous.
