Given the drought conditions this harvest, a significant share of production is expected to remain on farm
or be delivered direct to domestic consumers.
COMMENTARY:
• GrainCorp has successfully reversed its export supply chain and is actively involved in transferring grain,
primarily from WA, to meet strong domestic demand
• In northern regions, our teams are working with local growers to adapt our network for harvest. This includes
operating many sites on an ‘as needed’ basis
• Recent rains across northern NSW and southern Queensland are positive for the summer crop outlook
• Rains across northern VIC and southern NSW have boosted grains in the heading stage
• To help growers with cash-flow during these challenging times, GrainCorp has introduced 2 day payment
terms, meaning growers selling 18/19 season grain to GrainCorp at a bulk handling network will receive
payment within two business days
• GrainCorp has also launched its Season Update online with regular podcasts and quality charts available
