2 min The teacher will explain the parable of the little children. They will explain
that God’s Son, whose name is Jesus, taught us that everyone is special.
He did so by the stories he told and by the kind things he did to help
many people. Among all the people he met, Jesus loved children in a
special way. The story we just read showed us that Jesus loves and
blesses the children even when the disciples tell him not to.
Talk about how Jesus showed that everyone is special by his actions.
Wonder Question
- I wonder how I am special to Jesus?
Each child then draws a self-portrait as they would look when Jesus
blessed them. (Building on the EYLF Outcome 1: Children have a strong
sense of identity)
The teacher will ask students to pack up the pens and paper.
