Vision
The tennis program at Southwest Minnesota State University will allow student-
athletes to thrive academically, athletically, socially, and ultimately embrace life
with the freedom to flourish in the pursuit of comprehensive excellence.
Purpose
The Southwest Minnesota State Tennis program will pursue excellence in every
area and at every level. As a team, we will learn together, walk with confidence,
commit to program values, and strive to be the very best we are capable of being.
Student-athletes will embrace a sense of belonging and loyalty, have a positive
experience, and desire to remain connected to the SMSU family long after their
playing career is over.
Values
Success takes commitment to develop habits that contribute to positive behavior on
and off the court, as well as in the community. These are the core values that we
believe it takes to be successful:
Honesty be direct, respectful, and gain trust.
Accountability be responsible for your attitude, actions and behaviors.

team.
If a practice if missed without notification during a competition week, the
student-athlete will automatically sit out for the upcoming competition.
Individual Sessions
The student-athlete will be required to have one individual session with Coach
Hannah per week. You will be able to schedule this around your school schedule.
If you are unable to be present at your scheduled Individual, Coach Hannah must
be notified and your Individual will be rescheduled.
Once you are on required study tables, I dont have anything to do, is not an
acceptable excuse for not coming to study tables or not doing anything while there.
