Why is tagging important?

depending on the companys format.
Steps in tagging hand tools:
1. Check if the hand tools are in good condition or not. For out of service
hand tools, put the RED tag on them and write the reason/s why they
are out of service. Fill up the necessary information found on the RED
tag.
2. For hand tools with RED tags, place them in a separate tool box. Be
sure that you filled out the information on it.
3. For hand tools that are in good condition, place the GREEN tag. Fill out
the necessary information found in the green tag before using it.
4. After using the hand tools with GREEN tags, place them safely inside
the tool box. Be sure that you have cleaned them and they are properly
placed inside the tool box.
