Objectives
By the end of the lesson students will be able :
- to use correctly grammar, spelling and punctuation
- to use lingvistic utterances correctly in a conversation
- to participate actively in a dialogue
Anticipated problems: -Ss may encounter problems with making the difference between
countables and uncountables . T must reminde them the differences.

T asks for the absentees and writes in the catalogue.
Warm-up: Game-At the restaurant: 15
Teacher explains Ss that they are going to play a game : The restaurant game.
T divides the class into groups of four and gives each group a menu and lets them read it. T asks
them to decide on a for-course meal(soup, starter, main course and dessert) but not to tell the
others.( they should write it down on a piece of paper). T gives the groups their food cards and
asks them to deal these out.
The object of the game is to get four cards representing a four-course meal. To do this,
players will have to ask each other for items. Player 1 begins. He can ask any other player: Id
like...,please!. If the player has the card, she/he must give it, saying: Certainly,sir/madam.
Here you are. If not, she/he should say: Sorry, sir,madam, its off. Then its the next players
turn. The first player to get the menu he wants is the winner.
Activity 1 Review: 8
T uses schemes on the flipchart and reminds Ss, with their help, the differences between
countables and uncountables. T writes on the blackboard thhe essential things so that Ss can copy
them in their notebooks.
Activity 2 Consolidation: 20
Ss are arranged in three groups of six pupils each. T gives each S a coloured hat to pin in their
chest: white, red, black, yellow, green, blue. On the table, T draws a table. It is divided into six to
form 6 squares. In each square it is written a demand for each coloured hat: W countable nouns,
R 5 uncountable nouns, B 3 sentences using many, Y - 3 sentences usingmuch, G 2
sentences using (a)little and 2 sentences using (a)few, B-3 sentences-giving advice. Each
team will choose a name. At the end of the activity, the members of each team will go to the
blackboard and complete the table.

T evaluates Ss work and each team will receive a diploma.
T gives SS handouts with 2 exercises as homework.
