I Know I Know this was the least competitive game this week. But Voeges 4 game win streak is overdue for some Lovin. QB Issues aside Voege has managed to work his way back into this thing and is now tied for a playoff spot. He has gotten solid starts from RBs Eddie Munster Lacy (11.5) and Gio Bernard (24.5) in recent weeks and continues to get Fantasy MVP-like number from Calvin Johnson (30). This weeks Man of the Match is Luke Kuechly (20) he had 11 tackles and a sack and continues to be the leader of that vaunted Panthers Defense. Carolina has now won 5 games in a row and is just a game behind the Saints. As for Rich he had his own 4 game win streak going a few weeks ago but has now lost 2 in a row. Ryan Matthews (14.5) was really the only bright spot this week as he failed to eclipse 100 points for the first time this season. He will look to bounce back against Weber next week.
Best Player: One Broncos receiver who has not gotten enough credit this year is Demaryius Thomas
(43). Last week was his time to shine though as he totaled 7 catche s for 108 yards and 3 TDs. He now has 9 TDs in the Broncos unrivaled offense. Thomas is a big physical receiver who can break tackles and is not afraid to block down field. Just another reason why Denver is setting record breaking numbers this year.
Most Surprising Performance: Its been a long wait for the return of Andre Brown (22.5) to the
Giants. They spoke of easing him back into the offense all week So much for that. Brown ended up with 31 touches in this game totaling 119 all purpose yards and a TD. The Giants seem to be back on track and are now just 1.5 games out of the NFC East division lead. They will still need help from some other teams but its a Far Cry better than where they were a few weeks ago.
Guttsiest Play of the Week: Riley Cooper (31) now has 5 TDs the last 2 weeks. He has a clear
chemistry with Nick Foles (29) and Weber saw that. If hes going to climb back into this thing and steal a playoff spot he will need to win this category a few more times this season. Good Job!!
Woulda-Coulda-Shoulda:
Me: RGIII (34) > Andy Luck (18.3) These mistakes are really starting to pile up. I have now lost 3 games in a row. At this rate I may need to enlist Zoltar to grant my playoff wish. Carter: Voege is not the only team with a win streak going. Carter has now won 3 games in a row and has nd the 2 most points scored in the league with 1834.5. Kinda makes you wanna Strut. Dont It!!

Nick W: After last weeks mistakes did you in, you were dealt an appetizing matchup with Gus. And you capitalized. Now 124.8 points isnt exactly an All-Star effort but its still a W. And getting one of those when your QB (Kaepernick) puts up -5.3 points is extremely rare. You are still alive here and you play 2 of the teams in front of you (Medlock, Carter) the next 2 weeks. Not to mention the Week 13 FLEX. Gus: The writings been on the wall for weeks here. I hope you still have some of last years winnings left over to spend on tissues and a few drinks. You are now officially eliminated from the playoffs. As they say you dont have to go home but you cant stay here. Reminder there is still $$ to be won on the Prop $60 and Consolation bracket so stay competitive. Dan M: Marques Colston (27) > Hakeem Nicks (8) Colston missed Week 9 with a knee injury so I understand your reluctance to play him. On the other hand Hakeem Nicks has actually had one of the healthiest years of his career. Too bad h es sucked so badly. It seems like all those injuries have caught up to him as he seems like a shell of him former self. Shell Shock!! Had to its only the best beat em up EVER!! Wong: Russell Wilson (30.8) > Jake Locker (-1.5) No Wongy NOOO!! Why break tradition as once again that 2 game Win streak eludes you. I cant believe you let that bully Jake shove you into a Locker like that!! Russell had a good game against the Bucs in Week 9 and Atlanta has been cannon fodder for offenses all year so Im not sure why you benched him. Well ya live and ya learn. Dr Joey Ds prescription: Stick with the Chick you brought to the dance!! Sean: Matt Stafford (29.5) > Philip Rivers (13.3) Do Si Do and away we Go!! I love pointing these out every week especially since your 8-2 and all but in the playoffs now. However, this is an issue that needs to be cleaned up before the playoffs. Id start examining those Week 14-17 matchups now just so youre ready when the time comes. Medlock: Matt Ryan (17.3) > Eli Manning (7) Eli is still not quite there yet. Even though the Giants have been winning their passing offense has been off all year. As you said they are a really tough team to watch. Maaatt Ryan on the other hand has lost all but 2 of this opening day targets and came in facing the best secondary in the league. The real problem here was the supporting staff. You did not have a single player with at least 20 points. When VJax, Forte and Dez decide to take the week off. You know youre in trouble. Voege: The Night He Came Home!!!! How about Voege doing his best Boogeyman impersonation and refusing to die. Michael Myers has Escaped!!! Closing Comments:
Sorry this was a little late but Ive been quite distracted with the PS4 launch this week. By the way anyone who hasnt seen South Park yet this week I strongly recommend it. Game of Thrones/Video Game fans will not be disappointed. As for football we have reached the final 3 weeks of the season and the settings could not be closer. Jameet and Sean are 1 and 2 as usual. Then Dan and Frank at 3 and 4. After that its a big ole mishmosh with five teams sporting 5-5 records and fighting for the final playoff spot. Suffice it to say we are all getting out $$s worth this year. Wong and Dan M have a great matchup that could be severely impacted by Peyton Mannings ankle injury. All signs point toward him playing but how effective will he and his happy feet be? As I mentioned Weber is still clinging to some playoff hope as he faces Medlock who is also on the fence this week. Medlock will have to replace the production of Dez Bryant and with VJax listed as questionable may need a second WR replacement as well. Finally, Its the matchup weve all been waiting for as two of the hottest team s in the league square off. Its Carter vs Voege in the I Aint Neva Gonna Die Bowl. With Witten on BYE and VD concussed Carter may be in need of a TE replacement. Voege on the other hand will have a tricky decision to make as Shane Vereen is due back from injury this week.
