Burglary
September 2013
Activity Summary:
There were twenty (20) burglaries reported in September 2013. There were fifteen (15) burglaries reported
during the same time frame in 2012. This is a 33% increase from 2012 to 2013.
Nine (9), or 45%, of the incidents involved residential locations.
Fourteen (14) incidents, or 70%, involved forced entry.
Five (5) incidents, or 25%, were discovered on a Thursday.
Six (6) incidents, or 30%, were discovered between the hours of 0400 0759.
Historically, HPD has an average of 20 burglaries during the month of September with a current threshold of 14 to 26.
This September, we were within the threshold with 20 reported burglaries.
Forecast for October:
The average number of burglaries for the month of October is 18 plus or minus 4. By the end of October, there is a
68% chance HPD will have received between 14 and 22 reported B&Es/burglaries.
