MONTHLY CRIME BULLETIN Burglary October 2013 Activity Summary: There were four (4) burglaries reported in October 2013. There were twenty-one (21) burglaries reported during the same time frame in 2012. This is an 81% decrease from 2012 to 2013. Three (3), or 75%, of the incidents involved construction site locations. Three (3) incidents, or 75%, involved non-forced entry. Four (4) incidents, or 100%, were discovered on a Friday. Three (3) incidents, or 75%, were discovered between the hours of 0800 1159. Historically, HPD has an average of 18 burglaries during the month of October with a current threshold of 14 to 22. This October, we were well under the threshold with 4 reported burglaries. Forecast for November: The average number of burglaries for the month of November is 22 plus or minus 9. By the end of November, there is a 68% chance HPD will have received between 13 and 31 reported B&Es/burglaries.
