Religion: We finished reading the Family Life book.

We are finishing unit 4 in our text. We are
reviewing what we have learned about the Holy
Spirit. Natalie was our prayer leader this week.
Reading: We read two great stories about going to
a friends house for a sleepover. We talked about
the parts of a story: characters, setting, problem
and solution. We are writing a memory book about
this school year in first grade.
Math: We completed the geometry chapter in our
text. We reviewed the concepts with a tasty
activity. For Figures on Friday, we created
geometric shapes using pretzel sticks for the sides,
mini marshmallows for the vertices and licorice
ropes to create lines of symmetry and to create
fractions of shapes.

Dinosaurs
We read books looking for
information about
carnivores, herbivores, and
omnivores. For the final
activity, we went to six
different classrooms
answering questions
about dinosaurs. Our
final clue brought us to
the library where we
looked for dinosaurs!
