WHAT IS CAPOEIRA?
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art developed originally by African slaves in Brazil. The slaves needed to disguise their training, so capoeira incorporates elements of dance and music into the movements. Today, capoeira has evolved into a rich cultural experience that is more than just a fighting style.
CAPOEIRA IS IDEAL FOR CHILDREN because it encourages

playful and spontaneous self-expression while encouraging teamwork and self-confidence. Each class includes warm-up, drills, partner sequences, tumbling, games and music. Students need no prior gymnastics or martial arts experience.
