Fall Greetings Mushroom Shaker Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Tuesday, November 26, 2024

Thanksgiving is just a couple days away and while I'm about to go full Christmas mode at home and in life (hah!) I wanted to share one more Autumn themed card! When I created this card for Pretty Pink Posh, I really wanted to use all of the mushroom themed products so I started with stenciling the Layered Mushroom Stencils with red inks with the (A) stencil, light brown with the (B) stencil, and stencil paste with the (C) stencil.

Once it was dry, I cut it with the largest Eyelet Rectangle Dies and adhered it to center of an A2 card base. I stamped my sentiment in brown ink on kraft cardstock from the Fall Bouquets Stamp Set and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. Next I built my shaker using the Mushroom Shaker Dies out of red and light brown cardstock and acetate. I think it looks so cute with the Fall Mushroom Clay Confetti! I adhered the shaker to the center of the card and layered the sentiment as well.

How do you feel about mushrooms? Do you love them or hate them? I like looking at them but am not a fan of eating them...

Action-Packed Holiday Shaker Card with Trinity Stamps

Monday, November 18, 2024

I'm happy to share that I'll be making more short videos for Trinity Stamps again! I officially start back up in January, but wanted to get one in for the upcoming holiday season. I have my short down below, but I started with making my background using watercolor cardstock and Distress Inks. I used three different Checkered Background Stencils from Trinity to create my background. The trees were added with Astro Paste so they have a beautiful shine to them!

My images were stamped with an alcohol markers on kraft cardstock and colored in with Ohuhu Art Markers. I didn't take my stamps out of my MISTI, and then stamped them again with a VersaFine Clair ink as well as my sentiments. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. After I put together my shaker panel, I added some scalloped strips and my stamped images and sentiments with thin foam adhesive.

I'm so excited to be working again with Trinity Stamps - I absolutely love their company and just how much they care for their Design Team!

Flippin' Awesome Easel Card with The Sassy Club

Saturday, November 16, 2024

Having some food fandom fun today for Sassy Saturday! I watched Craft Roulette and used some stamps, dies and paper from The Sassy Club to create a fun fold card. The parameter this week is to make a Z-fold card, so I have an easel card that is basically a Z-fold +1 fold so it sits on its own. I used my Popsiclesticks dies to create the base as well as to cut out the different pattern paper and background white cardstock.

I stamped and colored my images with olo markers and I used the coordinating die for the fandom thief, but fussy cut out my burger head guy. I did all of my die cutting to create my sassy meal and stamped my sentiment onto the sassy meal box. Before stamping my second sentiment, I used the crinkle inkle method developed on Craft Roulette by using some bubble wrap - I crinkled up the bubble wrap, picked up ink and "stamped" it onto the background.

My second sentiment was stamped with the same black ink as the first sentiment, then I glued all of the card and each segment together. I did pop up my two fandom characters on the front of the card and used a thin foam adhesive for the red area to sign a name so it would keep the easel in place a little easier. I hope you like my Sassy Saturday fandom card for you today! Now I want some fries...

You're Sweet Jelly Bean Fandom Card with Popsiclesticks!

Friday, November 15, 2024

Happy Fandom Friday night! I actually made this card last weekend and had every intention of scheduling my video for this morning, but I did a voice over while traveling this week for my last video and I was not a fan of how the audio turned out. So I decided to wait until I got home to do my voice over which means I'm barely making it on Friday, hah! But it's up and adorable - a mini slimline card using products from Popsiclesticks.

I'm using a fandom set inspired by magical candy and the mini slimline dies to make a fun, birthday card. Let me know which of these magical jelly beans you would hope to get (I'm wishing for Toast) and if you have this stamp set! Check out all of Popsiclesticks fandom sets by clicking one of the Etsy links below.

It's Your Day, Milk It! Strawberry Cows with The Sassy Club

Sunday, November 3, 2024

Happy Sassy Sunday, friends! I've been re-working my schedule and I'm going to be moving Sassy Sundays to Sassy Saturdays - just not this week. I'm trying to work in some breaks in my schedule - twice a week I'll take a break of posting to help with pacing out my projects and really just myself. But we can talk about that during a future video when I run out of things to talk about while I'm coloring, hah!

My card this week is using products from The Sassy Club for Craft Roulette! I'm using adorable stamps that I colored in with Olo Markers and dies to create my strawberry milk and it pouring into a bowl. Now, why it's going into a bowl? I don't know, I guess this person likes strawberry milk. I honestly don't know why I didn't do a cup - but it's too late now and it's still cute!

The milk carton is probably my favorite thing on the card and it's really just a simple layout. One of the parameters this week was the project had to be interactive, so I followed the CR guest by making one of my cows a wobbler! Let me know how you think I did with my card and if I meet the parameters of Craft Roulette.

Let's Celebrate with Scrapbook.com

Saturday, September 28, 2024

I have a very festive and wild card to share today! I couldn't stop adding fun color to this card... I just leaned into the crazy to make it the ultimate party card. I made it for an Instagram hop today celebrating a fellow crafter reaching 2000 followers on Instagram - you can check out the hop here and learn about the giveaway! To create this wild card, I started with die cutting my party dog and sentiment, then assembled them together. I then used my Nested A2 Arches to cut out glitter paper, patterned paper and white cardstock.

On the white cardstock, I stenciled on cupcakes with pink, yellow and blue inks to create a rainbow. I also added rub-on transfers onto my card base and started layering the arches onto the card base. I popped up my die cut dog and sentiment and added a few more sparkly touches with Glitter Pops of Color. While this card is definitely a party, I think it turned out cute and the little dog is adorable!

Happy Hour Holiday Cards with Spellbinders

Thursday, August 29, 2024

I am a big fan of how my cards turned out using the Happy Hour Collection from Spellbinders! I made two holiday cards - one for Halloween and one for Christmas. Both cards are relatively the same, just a few minor differences. I started with doing all of my die cutting and adding some Distress Ink to give them some dimension. To create the frosty liquid in the glasses, I die cut four of the larger drink shapes out of vellum (two for each card) and added Distress Ink to the back side of the die (so it won't rub off on your fingers when holding the card.

The items I wanted inside of my glass were glued to the front of the non-inked vellum drink piece and I sandwiched them in by gluing the edges of the vellum pieces together to hide behind the edge of the glasses. Once I was happy with my glasses, I added foam adhesive behind die cut so they would not be seen through the vellum and set them aside to work on my backgrounds.

For the Halloween card, I used the Press Plate with my BetterPress and black ink. I used the coordinating stencil to adding green and purple ink as well as some Astro Paste to give them some shine. The Christmas card is the Press Plate foiled with gold foil! I used the stencil to add red ink to match the holiday cocktail I made with the die cuts.

Once the backgrounds were dry, I used nesting rectangle dies to cut them down and I added a triangle piece of cardstock to the top of the card (this was to help me meet the requirements for last Friday's Craft Roulette). I then layered the cocktail background to a solid piece of cardstock that was attached to my A2 card bases. After popping up my glasses to each card, I used the BetterPress and black ink too make my sentiments and popped them up on the cards as well.

I hope you like these cards - I just love how the drink looks in vellum so you can see the die cut images on the inside!

Make Your Day Fandom Birthday Card with The Sassy Club

Sunday, August 18, 2024

Another week, another Craft Roulette submission! I am sitting and waiting to start my live class for Firefly Farm's Creative Crate using Pretty Pink Posh (it's my first solo live so I'm a bit nervous) so I thought I would work on my project for Friday's night's episode to help pass the time and hopefully be less nervous. When I saw the Monday parameter, I knew I wanted to incorporate this Sassy Club stamp set!

I started with stenciling my checkered background with Distress Oxides and Picket Fence Distress Ink on a yellow piece of cardstock. I used a nested rectangle die set to cut it down as well as piece of vellum and orange cardstock so that they would all layer neatly together.

I stamped my sentiment in black VersaFine ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped my images and colored them in with alcohol markers. Since all of my items for the live class were sitting prepped in front of my Scan N Cut, I decided to just fussy cut out the images to a void having to move things...

Finally, I layered my checkered background to my card base as well as the orange rectangle to the piece of vellum. I popped up the vellum to the card base and used foam adhesive to pop up my images as well. I felt like the card was missing a little something, so I added for dots of Pops of Color around the corners of the vellum to bring in more of the darker orange.

I hope this birthday card brings a smile to your face and let me know in the comments if you think I met the parameters for this week's episode of Craft Roulette!
