Merry Tone on Tone Faux Embossed Card with Pretty Pink Posh

I have a softer card to share with you today using products from Pretty Pink Posh. My card has a tone on tone look using die cuts which gives the card a look and feel like an embossing folder was used. I started with die cutting the pine needles (all three sizes) from the Holiday Wreath Builder Dies - each die four times from white cardstock. I cut a panel of white cardstock to 4x5-¼” and glued the pine needle die cuts around the panel. When the glue was dry, I trimmed off any of the small die cuts that extended past the panel. I used an iridescent glitter spray on top of the panel to give it some shine and make sure all of those pieces were glued down.

Next I stamped my favorite of the vintage ornaments from Holiday Ornaments Stamp Set and colored it in with alcohol makers. I also stamped the “merry” sentiment and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them both out. I used a small hole punch to add a hole to the top of the ornament and tied a bow with baker’s twine. I adhered the ornament to the center of the card and the sentiment just below it. To give the sentiment dimension without foam, I cut the “merry” three more times out of scrap white cardstock and layered them all together before attaching to the card. I hope this simple card brings a smile to your face today!

Let It Snow Holiday Card with Scrapbook.com

For today's card, I dove into a fun and creative project using supplies from Scrapbook.com’s Exclusives line. I loosely followed the December Show Us Your SheetLoad sketch, making a few adjustments to fit the prompts for last Friday’s episode of Craft Roulette. My inspiration for the color palette came from the South Pole's STEVE (Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement), with its stunning mix of icy blue-greys and soft pinks. I wanted to capture that magical, wintry feel in my design.

I began with a piece of Vintage A2 patterned paper, cutting it down to 4x5-1/4". To give it a softer, weathered look, I blended Tattered Rose Distress Oxide around the edges and added a few splatters of Weathered Wood Spritz for texture. For the three paper panels, I used Christmas smooth cardstock and Winter A2 patterned paper. Once they were trimmed and adhered to the background, I stenciled snowflakes in Weathered Wood Distress Oxide, adding another layer of winter charm to the card.

The sentiment, "Let it Snow," became the centerpiece of my design. I die-cut it from Vintage and Christmas A2 papers, layering the pieces together for dimension. Around the sentiment, I layered die-cut florals made from the same papers and Glossy white cardstock snowflakes for a touch of shine. I love how these elements brought movement and a wintry elegance to the card.

To finish, I added Marine Pops of Color around the arrangement, creating small accents that tied the whole design together. The shimmer and texture brought out the icy blues and rosy pinks inspired by STEVE, completing the look I envisioned. This card captures the magic of winter while blending vintage style with modern techniques, and I’m so happy with how it turned out!

The Nice List Christmas Card with Simon Hurley create.

I’m excited to share how I created this fun, festive card using the Simon Hurley create. Sketched Santas stamp set! I started by stamping the adorable holiday images with Jet Black Archival Ink and then coloring them in with Distress Watercolor Pencils. Once I had them all colored, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next, I moved on to the background by stenciling the first Sunrays layer on half of a 4x5.25” panel of Stark White Cardstock using Bee Sting ink. I layered the second Sunrays stencil over the first and applied Fake Plant ink. To add a bit of "sparkle", I stamped the Bursts with Shooting Star ink along the bottom half of the panel.

To finish the design, I stamped a sentiment from the Sketched Santas set in Jet Black ink just below the stenciling on the stamped bursts. Then, I adhered the die cut Santas with both foam and liquid adhesive for a bit of dimension. Finally, I attached the panel to an A2 card base, and my card was complete! The combination of bright stenciled rays, the fun Santa images, and the cheerful sentiment gives this card a warm, joyful feel—perfect for the holidays!

Welcome to Camp Card with The Sassy Club

Hi friends! Life has been a whirlwind this week with the holidays, but I’m thrilled to finally share my latest card project with you. This one is a delightful mash-up of Fandom Friday and Sassy Sunday, featuring the adorable Bird N Dog stamp set from The Sassy Club! I had so much fun creating this card, inspired by a beloved Southern California theme park and a dash of my daughter’s Girl Scout troop colors. I used OLO markers for coloring and stamped my images with the Sassy Club Onyx Black ink pad. The dog and bird scouts are dressed in bright green and purple, a nod to Girl Scout uniforms, with simple shading and a few white gel pen fixes for any coloring oopsies. The coordinating dies made cutting these little cuties a breeze, and I paired them with elements from the Camp Builder and National Park Sign die sets to build a fun, dimensional camping scene. 

For the background, I created a stenciled camping map using Distress Inks in shades like Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, and Forest Moss. While I initially planned to keep everything within an A2 card size, I decided to let some elements (like the tree and sign) extend beyond the edges for added impact. Though it’s not envelope-friendly, I think it turned out wonderfully! If you’re replicating this, I’d recommend scaling up to a 5x7 card. This project brought me so much joy, and I hope it inspires you to play with your stamps, dies, and inks in fun, creative ways. Don’t forget to check out the Sassy Club for more fabulous fandom sets. Holiday Hugs Christmas Card with Crafty Meraki

Hi Friends! I'm sharing a holiday card over on the Crafty Meraki YouTube Channel today! They're counting down to Christmas with lots of amazing videos of card ideas and I'm so excited to be a part of the countdown. I was gifted this adorable stamp set and coordinating die as well as some lovely embellishments. I used the colors of the embellishments to inspire my color choices.

While I did color and die cut my images before recording my video (otherwise my video might have been an hour long), I'll walk you through how I created my background, added in my images and lots of fun embellishments. I think this card turned out so cute and I just love these adorable images! December 2024 Clubs From Spellbinders - 3 Card Ideas!

I’m excited to share how I created three unique cards using the December Spellbinders Club Kits. Each card showcases different techniques and products from the kits, and in my video today, I walk you through my process step by step. Here’s a breakdown of how each card came together.

For the first card, I started with the BetterPress Plate of the Month, which has this beautiful paisley design that I thought would be perfect for a Valentine's Day or gratitude card. I applied two ink colors—garnet and mulberry—onto the plate, making sure to blend them well for a smooth transition. After pressing the inked plate onto my cotton cardstock, I added a bit of Distress Ink in Seedless Preserves around the edges to create a vignette effect. For the sentiment, I used the "You are my heart's delight" stamp from the Clear Stamp Set, and I applied an emboss-resist technique to make the white embossed sentiment pop against the inked background. To finish the card, I added foam adhesive behind the sentiment for some dimension and sprinkled Lavender Luster Glitter Pops of Color in the open areas to give the design a little extra sparkle.

The second card focuses on the layering Stencils Club, which I had so much fun with! There are five stencils in total, but I chose to use the four layering stencils to create a soft, pastel argyle pattern with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I also added the dashed lines in Vintage Photo for a bit more texture. I love how versatile these stencils are—you can mix and match them to create different looks. For the sentiment, I used the Clear Stamp Set again. To keep the card simple and let the background shine, I didn’t add any embellishments, but I did use the 3D embossing folder for some subtle heart details to add even more depth and texture.

For the third card, I decided to make a shaker card, which is always a fun technique. I started by stenciling hearts using worn lipstick distress ink, creating an ombre effect that fades out at the bottom. Once my background was done, I die-cut a window with the "H" die and filled it with sequins and shaker bits for some movement. The die-cut flowers and leaves were layered together to add dimension around the "H," and I love how the colors came together. While I wasn’t thrilled with the placement of the "E-L-L-O" sentiment at first, I ended up liking the way it turned out, especially after I added the sequins to the flowers for some extra shine. The shaker element really makes this card stand out, but I think the second card is my favorite from the bunch.

Throughout these projects, I had a blast experimenting with the different Spellbinders Club Kits, from stenciling and die-cutting to embossing and ink blending. Whether you prefer flat, layered designs or interactive shaker cards, these kits have so much to offer. Holly Jolly Mixed Media Christmas Card with Pretty Pink Posh

It's hard to believe that we're in December! I have a holiday card to share today using Pretty Pink Posh products. I wanted to get a little inky today, so we’re going to have some fun with Distress mediums! I love the different ornaments from the Ornament Cover Plate, so that will be the focus for today’s card. I started with die cutting the Ornament Cover Plate from watercolor cardstock. You can see how I ink squished and layered on different Distress mediums in my video today, but I used Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles Distress Oxides to add ink to my card panel. I also sprayed Tree Lot Distress Mica Spray and brought in some Evergreen Bough Distress Ink to fill in some of the leftover white pieces. For the ornaments, I watercolored them with Distress Watercolor Pencils, using water and paintbrushes to add color to the designs.

Once everything was dry, I glued the panel and the ornaments to a card base. I cut the tops of the ornaments using the small die from the Ornament Cover Plate Dies from a shiny cardstock and added them to the top of each ornament. Using the same cardstock, I cut the Holly Jolly Shadow sentiment. I cut the shadow from vellum and two additional sentiments from scrap, white cardstock. I glued the two white sentiments together and then to the back of the vellum. The shiny cardstock was glued to the top. This allows some dimension without foam that could be visible behind the vellum! I added the sentiment to the center of the card and some liquid embellishment around the card that matched the cardstock I used for the sentiment and ornament tops. I hope you had some inky fun with me while I created this card!
