Carnival of Colors from My Inky Friends
Welcome to the newest My Inky Friends blog hop! We were sooo excited about the Stampin' Up! color revamp, that we decided to do a hop featuring some of the new (or returning) colors. There are twelve of us participating, and if you started at the beginning, then you just landed here from Shelley's blog where she featured Gorgeous Grape. You can hop forward to the next stop using the buttons below, or go back to see Shelley.
As soon as the hop was announced, I knew I wanted to focus on Granny Apple Green. It's such a fabulous new green, and coordinates beautifully with many other SU colors!
My first card is super simple, just a Granny Apple Green watercolor wash background with a die cut and some stamping from A Big Thank You bundle. So easy, and if you needed a bunch of thank yous, you could crank these out in no time!
The second card was a bit more time-consuming since I colored the very detailed stamp in Very Vintage with four different markers. Ugh - not something suitable for mass producing, but pretty nonetheless! This card reminds me of a wall, LOL. The DSP is the wainscoting, the gold cord is the chair rail, and the bees stamped on the upper part are the wallpaper.
For the last card, I used the floral image from the Blended Seasons bundle that will be available next month. The Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends marker was used to color the background behind the flowers and the dark marker was used on the leaves and stems. It sure makes the white blossoms pop! I used the AWESOME stitched Framelits label from that bundle to cut it out, and layered it on a Stitched Labels Framelits die cut. I'm so happy we have so many stitched options, aren't you? I think it just adds such a nice detail!

Lol! The second card is so pretty it looks like a really fancy dining room wall. I love the simplicity of the first card and how you placed the pearls. I like the pattern next to the "so much" sentiment. Don't you love this bright Granny Apple Green! I am so happy about all of our new colors with this catalog!! Beautiful cards Cindy!!!
