Heart's Delight Cards, Love What You Do, Share What You Love Suite, Friendship, Stampin' Up!

I'm kind of smitten with the whole Share What You Love Suite, can you tell? Tomorrow is the start of the Early Release period, and I just had to share another card made with that suite. Isn't it purty?

This only involved one stamp (the greeting), and a bit of fussy cutting of the fabulous Share What You Love Specialty DSP. Really pretty easy peasy, but it looks awesome! Aren't those pearlized blossoms just the bee's knees?

Some of the S.W.Y.L. Artisan Pearls and a bit of twine from the coordinating embellishment kit were added to complete the look.

I suggest ordering EARLY in the early release period, because if the demo preorder was any indication, things will be going on back-order before the end of the promotion. And you don't want to have to wait on that slow boat from China!

Love What You Do

This is another card from one of the Share What You Love bundles. I have to say, I adore that sentiment! I DO love what do. I mean, what could be better than getting paid to do what you love and would be doing anyway?! Not much, I'd say.

The Share What You Love Specialty DSP has so many pretty patterns in it, but I think this one is one of my favorites. It's such a lovely combination of colors, and not too bold. So, what makes S.W.Y.L. a "specialty" DSP? Well, first of all, there are the pearlized accent sheets which add a subtle sheen to your projects. And another difference is, these sheets are much heavier than our regular DSP! They are sturdy enough to make gift boxes, which greatly expands their usefulness. And there are twenty-four sheets, not twelve!

For this card, I colored the Love What You Do blossoms with Rich Razzleberry Blends and fussy cut them out. After matting the DSP and adhering it to the card, I added a Pearlized Doily and Soft Sea Foam stitched circle to highlight the blossoms. The greeting was stamped and matted, then popped up on dimensionals, and the blossoms were tied with a bow and added last, also popped up.

Those colored pearls are part of the suite, too. I like that they are ready to go and I don't need to color them with a Stampin' Blends marker!

It's A BEAUTIFUL Day!

It really is! The dreary rain has ended and the sun is out. This is what I like to call "Goldilocks" weather - not too hot, not too cold...just right! And the Share What You Love suite of goodies was just made for days like this! In three more days you can get one of the early release bundles and start playing with it, too! There are three levels available, from the "Just Getting Started" bundle up to the "Gotta Have It All" bundle, and each one comes with one, two, or three free gifts, depending on the level.

In addition to the bundles mentioned, you can also get your happy little hands on the new In Color ink pads and save 10% on the bundle! How cool is that? Please keep in mind that these product bundles WON'T be in the new annual catalog on June 1st. The bundles are only available for the Early Release period from May 1-31. However, the In Color ink pads will still be available as a bundle.

For this card I stamped the leaves along the bottom of the DSP and added a strip of glimmer paper and the velvet ribbon. Then I added one of the pretty die cut labels in the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit (included in bundles 2 and 3). The greeting and the floral sprigs were stamped and the flowers colored with a Lovely Lipstick Light Stampin' Blends marker. Yes, there are new Stampin' Blends colors coming in the catalog!!! The pearlized cotton thread in the embellishment kit made a dainty bow tied in the corner.

MIF Design Challenge #5 - Sketch

This month's My Inky Friends Design Challenge is a sketch, inspired by the birthday card on page 85 of the 2017-2018 annual catalog. This is a fun sketch to use as a starting point, because there are so many creative possibilities! Remember it's okay to reverse a sketch or turn it sideways, so you have lots of leeway for creativity.

Heart's Delight Cards, MIFDC5, Sitting Pretty, Thank you, Bluebird, Stampin' Up!

I wanted to use a stamp set that I got to pre-preorder as a perk for attending the Stampin' Up! OnStage event earlier this month. (That's one of the many perks of being a demo!) Anyhoo, I just adore the new Sitting Pretty bundle, which has lovely detailed Framelits to go with the stamp set, so today I chose the ornate wrought iron bench.

I can just picture a cozy little nook in my garden, with cement pavers and a potted plant beside the bench. And, because it's my garden, grass growing between the pavers, LOL. At least my favorite visitor came by to chirp "Hi!" I colored him with Night of Navy Light and Calypso Coral Light Stampin' Blends. I get to see these little guys every day outside my craft room window!

That linen-look background DSP is from the new Nature's Poem pack that will be available starting June 1st. Lots of pretty paper coming soon, but don't forget the paper that is retiring, too. Some things are already sold out!
